A couple more shots that highlight a couple of points in my story. The first is just one of the times that I was able to get alongside the 62 Galaxie before he was able to pull away. The second is me following the smoking BMW that crashed on the first lap. I can't see any pieces of the BMW's front fascia wedged into my car, but after the race I found some, LOL.

Well, I think I found the problem (about 95% sure). I was trying to figure out how to tune the car using Megatune as I had never done it before. Dave always did the tuning and I would advise him on what I wanted done. So I hooked up the laptop and took a look at the Fuel MAP. Looked okay with decent fueling increase all the way to 9500 rpm and full throttle, so nothing that would explain the issue there. I checked the timing MAP and it was the same and I know that the Megasquirt will extrapolate above your upper RPm for both timing and fueling, so it didn't look to be coming from there.

So in playing around, I noticed that you could see the fuel bins get highlighted when you pushed on the throttle in real time, so I thought that I would see where the problems started in the Fuel MAP based on the throttle position at 3/4 throttle. So I pushed the pedal to the point at which I was forced to hold the throttle at for the car to work and it was just above 3/4's of the pedal throw, but it was all the way to the max of the fuel MAP. I was all like WTF!!!!! and decided to check the calibtration of the TPS. It seems that at idle the TPS is at 60 ohms and at full throttle it reads 255 ohms. The MAP showed idle at 60 and full at 220, what the heck, I am missing the whole last inch of throttle travel. So I made the changes to the last line of the fueling MAP and moved it to 255 and changed a couple of other bins readings and will go to TMP this Sunday to test it. I may need to do some richening up, but I should finally have full throttle for long pulls.

I expect that I will be a bit busy initially changing the upper rpm bins, but it should work out great as it will finally read full throttle and develop all the power.

Simple really and a quick fix.
