Well, looking at an overall viewpoint, I think Cambridge area is the most central you can get to most of the 7 owners in Ontario. 1 hour from toronto, up to 3 hours from Windsor and 2 hours from the barrie area. I could be wrong, but there isn't a whole lot of 7 owners much further north than barrie.

Balzz 01-05-07 05:48 PM

But Toronto is the centre of the UNIVERSE! :D

R.P.M. 01-05-07 07:15 PM

LOL...sure Toronto would be nice, but the cost of living and having a shop in the GTA is just out of the question. Gotta walk before we run ;)
The way things are going now, it wont be too long before we're in the GTA possibly.

coldfire 01-06-07 01:26 AM

come to the Ottawa area, it's cheap and i will be your customer. i'm sure there are others. maybe one or two. haha.
seriously, i would love a shop closeby. as much as i love doing things myself school and work always get in the way.
but when it comes to something major, like getting an engine built, a 6 hour drive is nothing. good luck wherever you go Joe. :)

soulja77 01-06-07 10:53 AM

rfent and taxes are too high intoronto.

etobicoke is a good place, racine rd... a lot of shops there.

Bass 01-06-07 10:55 AM

Joe, I think that the only solution is to go mobile. You know, like Knight Rider. Just get a bunch of tractor trailers and drive around the province. Whenever a rotor motor is struggling on the road, they can just drive up into the back of the trailer and you repair on the road. You could even stop off at customer's driveways and repair on the spot, then sleep in their basement.

vipernicus42 01-06-07 02:17 PM

lol, of course my vote goes to anything east of TO, despite the fact that it would make you further from kw and other folks... but that's only 'cause I'm selfish and the closer I can get you to Ottawa, the less I'll have to drive ;)

Honestly though Joe, I wish ya luck no matter where you end up.

Cambridge! someone said earlier, the old essential speed building.

got_boost 01-10-07 07:01 PM

hey Joe, i dont know if you remember me, ive emailed you this summer concerning your rebuilts (im the guy from club RX Quebec !!).
you should move not too far of Ottawa, youdget lot of clients coming from Quebec.
Most of the ppl send it to RX7 specialites, so like that if your in Ottawa, i lot of ppl would just drive there !!, its not too far for the guys in T.O either !!!
anyways, keep us updated & good luck !!

Bruno

Hey Bruno, I remember your e-mail, thanks for posting it on the Quebec RX club, I had quite a few emails from other Quebec RX club members after that!

I think we will be moving to Kitchener within the next month, I have family who lives just outside if K-W. Still not for sure, but its looking like thats where we will end up

misterstyx69 01-10-07 10:33 PM

Can't someone Like Bake Cookies..or Somethin?..and get JOE closer to "the Nation's Capital"?.(haha!)

dj55b 01-14-07 04:00 AM

London? seems to be growing pretty fast and might just be a good little town for your customers.

HEVNSNT 01-14-07 07:28 AM

Hey Joe, let me know when you finalize your move and before you move everything. And KW sounds like a great area--close to the co-eds ;)

Don't worry about London. I'm sure that if the customer base grows large enough, someone will open a rotary shop...

dj55b 01-16-07 09:57 AM

lol ... someone eh ... lol ... if you ever open up that shop aaron give me a shout :D

ScrappyDoo 01-16-07 10:01 AM

As I told you on Sunday Joe, rates per square foot are not that bad around the GTA when compared with K/W.

classicauto 01-16-07 11:02 AM

I'll rent you my oil bay and part of the hazardous waste materials shed?? :dunno: haha

ACTION RT 01-16-07 04:23 PM
