The Pig Is Coming Back Out!

Joe et al, her is an example of what I am talking about. This U.S. based E Prod car was fast enough to win the Runoffs, but in the corners it was still compressing the front bushings and turning negative camber into positive. Also, it is really hard to tell cambers by looking at the body when the car is on track because if you lower your car until the A-Arms are level (which everyone does) any body roll or compression takes the control arms past verticle and starts them dialing in positive camber. The way to control this in most cars is to move the4 inner pickups upward to get a downward slope to the control arms again, but in FC's you cant do this and the car builds positive camber. Its a way of life for these cars.
What guys sometimes do is add a ton of negative so that when the positive camber gain starts to take effect, you end up at around 2 degrees negative. You can also run humungous front springs or sway bars to limit front wheel movement, but this really limits front tire compliance and ultimately grip. You can also leave the cars at stock ride heights which helps a lot, but raises the centre of gravity a fair bit, increases the frontal area and adds drag. Thats usually not acceptable.
Here are a couple of shots that show this. the first shows an E Prod car and the second is my car that sorta shows a better view of the front and rear camber.
