You wish son. When she saw you at the house earlier this year she asked me why I was hanging out with a teenager.
On a car note, I had a long chat with Seth from Hinson Supercars today. I am seriously researching my ride's future.

I am not 100% yet but I am definately considering it. It all depends on how the numbers crunch and whether I can afford to make it happen. I would have to get 6-7k for my rotary specific parts for it to be in the realm of possibilities. I have to take the time to sit down and create a spreadsheet of what I can sell and for how much. Then I would have to decide on which LS motor since cost increases significantly with each update. Then I would have to explain to my wife why I am tearing apart a perfectly good car again.

LOL, come on Jim. You know it is a good set up.
I am not looking for immense power, 400rwhp 400Torque would be nice.
I am mostly looking to have an N/A car. I hate turbos. I hate pre-mixing. I hate having to dry clean all the stink out of my suits. I hate being a slave to ultra 94. I hate worrying about flooding my engine. I hate opening the hood at every fill up to top up engine oil. It is just the little things that are getting to me.
I love walking towards my car at the end of the day, which makes me realize that I am in love with the body rather than the "mind".
Now if I got in the car and it had none of the above issues and delivered decent power with respectable fuel mileage I think I would be in car heaven. LSx power seems to make the above a possibility. And to add insult to injury LSx cars seem to fetching more dollars on resale. They are also easier to service since everything GM sells has an LS in it.

The Stormy Blue Mica conversion has begun. I haven't seen it in person myself yet but I like what I see so far. Only the engine bay is done for now and the rest will be done next month. Thanks to classicauto for sending the pics and doing the work.
I can't wait to see the motor back in.

Windshield is coming out. Spoiler and rear wiper deleted. I have not talked about how much of the hatch area below the carpet or behind the lights will be done. But knowing Joe I am sure it will be a thorough colour change.

Actually the car is going to be delivered to the drivetrain on Monday. Motor has been refreshed with 3mm seals, changed the turbo manifold and a few other small things. So the car will be tuned and broken in while Joe plays at DGRR and then I'll drive it back to the shop when he is ready to finish the exterior.
Jim and Darryl will beat me with a hammer if I do, so I've held off for now. But I still find it disturbing that LS cars are worth more than their rotary counterparts.

Nice...so you chose the RX8 colour....i remember we were all talking about it last year, with that 8 that was there in that colour. Cant wait to see it.
How come yuo went with 3mm? I thought the 2mm were prefered through Dynamics
