Ownership problem

So I bought an RX-7 off of a member a few months back. My problem is trying to get it registered under my name, they need a bill of sale from the previous owner which i do not have and have not been able to get a hold of the member i bought if off of. The ownership currently shows another previous owner signing over to the guy i bought it off of, but it comes up as unregistered to his name. And I can't get a hold of the previous owner prior the guy i bought it off either. Is there a way to go abouts getting the vehicle registered under my name under these circumstances? I've only been able to go as far as getting a used car package. Thanks for any help.

Hate to say it and I don't endorse it but it seems like you have to forge it. Are you trying to say that you bought the car for $100 to pay minimal taxes? If I were you I would just put the blue book value on your 'bill of sale' and just pay the taxes so you won't get hassled and in the end, everyone gets their fair share of the pie.

Get someone to appraise it, then you don't need a bill of sale. I was in the same boat when I bought my project FC. When you give them the appraisal report, they dont care about the bill of sale anymore. This was 2-3 months ago.
