Ontario - to plate or not?
Do any of you guys in Ontario not use a front plate and instead keep it in the car (windshield)? What are your guys' experiences with cops? I ran without a front plate for over a year without being pulled over but I'm thinking it's because Quebec cars here (which are common) only have rear plates. Any comments?

i live in the gta, and haven't had a problem yet.
Only had one cop mention it to me while i was pulled over for my exhaust (I didn't get a ticket - WOO lol)
He Just said you have to move that plate to the front of the car, i told him i had a bracket on order - and i was on my way.

I put a plate on my new front bumper - it looks like crap. I'm trying to find alternatives. Even on the side of the bumper would look better...

Dont put your plate in the front window. Its the first thing visable and gives you away that your plate is not mounted properly.
I dont run a front plate because I need the extra cooling flow in the front bumper.
I've had 2-3 run ins with cops, every time they've asked me wherer my front plate is. I tell them that my car overheats and that I'm getting a new bracket made so I can put it on. It has worked so far.
Another time in my honda I got a ticket for not having my licence plate mounted either.
So its up to you,
But DONT put it in your windshield cause the'll pull you over when they drive by you.

Yeah, plate in windshield is equivalent to racing a cop from a stoplight. You're just asking for trouble.
FWIW, the front plate on the olds is on the side and on an unreadable angle, but I've never had an issue.

I've paid the $110 dollar fee for no visible front plate (or whatever it is called) twice. My plate was always in the windshield.
Last year I decided to put a front plate on. The cops need very little incentive to pull over a modified looking car these days, why give them more ammo.
Plus, if your car doesn't look good with a front plate attached to it, you need to work on your car, not the plate I don't even notice it anymore.

Ive been running without a plate for over ten years. I have recieved 2 tickets, took them to court with a picture with the thing taped on so it looks like it is attached and got off both times.
Once I was caught for speeding gave cop a sob story and he wrote a ticket for plate instead so it is good for things like that. A plate does takeaway the look of car IMHO
