ON new proud owner of 1990 RX7 Conv w/pics

Been reading the forums for a while.. always been interested in rotory engines got offered this amazing rx7 has a few kinks I have to work out but very fun to drive. Bought it in ottawa for a good price been driving it all day very fun car.

also it's good thing a got a rag top being 6'3" .. don't think I would be able to fit in it otherwise lol.

Checked the vin failed the etest seems to run good lots of power probably needs a converter.

Needs few plastic interior parts, clock is inop(hopfully cold solder joints), new top and few other odd things.

welcome to the club!
the car looks great, couple things i'm not big on...auto lol, but otherwise looks awesome.

just to let you know, i'm 6'4" and fit in my coupe with a sunroof no problem, definitely no helmet though.

And those are relatively common issues. and when you do drive this, you don't need the time

Yes the seats are a must.. car is from florida so they are all cracked and in horrible condition.. any suggestions for aftermarket buckets? I would like somthing that would sit lower if possible. I would probably need to find a doner car to switch to standard transmission.. might be a project for the future.

That's a pretty nice looking S5...

(Makes me wonder why I keep failing to find anything in Ottawa, guess I'll have to try harder ~_~)

^WAS nice. Looking for an S4 shell now though. Speaking of which, I found a shell candidate that I really think would be perfect in Ohio. You said your car was a Florida car, did you drive it up or? How much paperwork is involved with bringing a stateside car here?

Pervious owner brought it from florida.. But I have brought cars across the boarder befor.. you need to send car registration, bill of sale to the boarder 3 days in advance then show up with the car at the time they give you. Fill out some paper work pay the taxes on the vechical (HST). **note: if the car is over 20 years old you will get a 10 day permit and have to get the car apprasied then pay the taxes on the apprasal(so i have herd).

Think I have a vacum leak on the right rear of my engine could hear hissing sprayed some break clean and it started to rev up.. I gusse I have to go hunting. Might hook it up to the smoke machine at work.

Have all the paper work since 1989 including orig bill of sale and flyer for the car. Guy spend over $10,000 on the car since 2003. have all the bills.. spend $3000 on the A/C in 05 which i think is crazy since it's a convertible.. Also the A/C is currently INOP probably leaked out somewhere.
