Need some diagnostic help
Eh guys,
I posted in the 1st Gen forum too, but just in case some of you stick to the Canadian area I thought I'd post here. There are a bunch of Canadians who know their stuff; I've met a bunch in the Calgary area alone.
Here's the link to the 1st gen forum. https://www.rx7club.com/1st-generation-specific-1979-1985-18/stock-gsl-se-fuel-pump-afm-system-614799/
To get the whole back story read the whole thread. The short version is that I parked my car which was running perfectly, and now it won't start. It has spark on all 4 plugs for sure, has some fuel because I keep flooding it, and seems to have good compression and it cycles air though the engine pretty well as it turns over.
I found the wires on my Intake Air Temp sensor were broken so that's unplugged and now on order. But it seems like a pretty minor problem to prevent running, and I'm not even getting close to having it fire and run; it just seems to turn over dead. It's like my gas won't burn, except that I was down to 1/4 tank and it was fine so I don't think it could be a fuel contamination problem.
If anyone has any ideas I'd love to hear them. Or maybe someone with an SE can pull the plug on the Air Temp sensor just to see if it'll start without it.

I think the broken air temp sensor might make it run really rich, hence your flooding problem, have you tried bump starting it? I would suggest that you mix that, and you might get some where.
