Exclamation Need part, got into small accident

Ok, some guy slammed the brakes right in front of me for no good reason, which in turned caused some damage to the front end of my car (fc). I've already managed to fix most of it already, I just need to prep and paint. However, only one stupid little part broke and I was wondering if anyone could help me out. The retractor linkage for the right headlamp broke. Basically, one of the plastic **** at the end of the linkage broke and the linkage keeps popping out whenever I try to operate the retractor. So if anyone out there has a spare linkage, I would be very happy. And if you are in the Ottawa region, it would be ever better!!

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind if I don't find anything closer.

Why not just get a new one from the dealership. They should be able to get it in 3 days. Pop it in and you're done...

There's an FC with an intact front end at 404 auto wreckers north of Toronto if you need any other bits. I was hunting the very same part for my FD recently and came across it, but couldn't pirate the bits I needed.

Just called the dealer and the part is 11$, so I went ahead and ordered it. Thanks for the tip Amur.

Anybody who thinks RX-7 owners pay too much for dealer parts needs to drive a Mustang for a year. Not all of our bits our overpriced and I'm glad that this one wasn't for you.

I used to think "older car, don't try the dealer". I learned that a lot of the time they are worth trying. Most times the dealer is friendly and helpful. Sometimes they say "I'm sorry but we're out. You can try the scrap yards but that's about it."

Once the guy said "I could order it in but it will cost to ship it and it's a small part" "but you can get it, great." "I could but it has to come from the states and it's going to take over a week" He was dragging his feet. That's when I said "never mind" and I phoned another dealer who got the sale.
