My New RX!

Well some of you have been wondering why I'm selling my '88 GXL, here's the reason. As I was looking for an FC for my cousin I stumbled across this car and couldn't resisit it. It's a 1988 Turbo II, completely stock with 55,000 ORIGINAL Km's on it. It still has all 4 original factory tires on it! This car was just too nice and clean to pass up on. The plan from here is to clean it up even more, do some simple bolt on mods and get it putting out about 200-250hp at the rear wheels. Should be lots of fun. Now for the pics.

Nice Find, looks like the exhaust has been changed, If you are sure those are the original tires, you better change them before driving...

Have fun...

The exhaust is definitally stock, still has all of the cats and everything. The mufflers may have been replaced though. There were still part number stickers on them in places. I have new 17x8" Fast FC01s and Sumitomo HTRZ III's to go on it so no worries in the tire department.

Ya so did I untill I looked at the owners manual and the VIN. Oh well, still a sweet car and I don't think etesting will ever come to Bruce County. If it does I'll have the factory exhaust and air pump.

The whole car is mint like that. Not a speck of rust anywhere, all the plastic pieces under the car are still there and in perfect shape. I've seen 1-2 year old cars that aren't this clean. Amazing for a 23 year old car.

Thanks, I do have quite the collection. It's kind of scarry. I need to stop buying cars. Everytime I say that though a deal too good to be true comes along and I end up buying another one.

I actually got it for a pretty good deal. $4800. They were asking $6800 for it.

Hey Bryon, if you want to start on the Exhaust, bring the down pipe, and the RB flange and I'll get it all TIG'd up for ya!

I think I may just do that. Then get Davis to bend me up a nice section of 3" pipe to go to my left over magnaflow muffler from the Rx-4. Should disturb the peace a little....

Thanks for all the awesome compliments guys. With any luck I'll have the car out at Mosport and the fall Sherway meet next weekend. I called tonight and made the arrangements to have it appraised. Hopefully my Sumitomos find their way here from across the ocean by then.

You have that section at your uncles shop, we can use that, get 3" pipe from NAPA, and a small section from that, and you are good. No bending required!

Ya that would probably work, would be a bit of a hack job though. It is just temporary though, so who gives a turkey!

I'm hoping to bring this car and the Rx-4 so you'll get to see both. I just have to figure out how I can swing some track time at lunch behind the wheel of both cars. Maybe if I talk really nicely to Al he'll let me go out twice.
