Hey Jim, thank you sir. I cannot say enough how lucky I really am. I hope that our build does well and is competitive.....and sorry for being selfish, but hopefully you don't sell your car before I get a chance to race with you again

Thanks Lucas! You seem to always get it before we do! An update, Thanks to Moose and Marco we were able to figure out an electrical issue! Marco came down today and helped with the basemap and idle. The car is idling more stable now. Plan is to hopefully break it in, tune it and test it. All before the 18th CSCS event!
Thanks for your continued support!

Here is a video of the first ever start of the car at Joe's (RPM) shop. The noise you hear right at the start is rain on his metal roof lol. The fluctuating idle were from vacuum ports that I didn't cap yet.

Looks great. Definitely feel you could have squeezed a larger IC core in there. I believe there are thicker ones on the market, but no disrespect intended. Great job!

No worries RCCAZ, I agree there are larger and thicker intercoolers out there, but since I was not sure how "laggy" the turbocharger was going to be. I did not want to cause any pressure drop with a larger intercooler that may affect response.
We will test and see what our IATs are and go from there. Fingers crossed the car will be tuned tomorrow and tested at TMP this friday if everything goes as planned. I have Marco "Thewird" working his magic on our fresh build
Thanks for the ongoing interest in our project!

Love the WG dump tubes hanging out the hoodline. The fire coming out of those is bad *** on the video. I take it that you have holes cut to accommodate those or are you running this thing hoodless??

Congrats. Wish they showed more of the project instead of some random pictures. It's more like an advertisement rather than being in depth and informative. Missed the first issue so maybe that was a bit more in depth and a little less fluff.

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately due to the space/page constraints i could not go into as detailed as i would have liked. I had to cut down the original draft that i did. The other goal of mine was to make the article and easy and simple to follow for the readers who may not (myself included) have an engineering/aerospace/etc degree. Previous feedback was that "it was too techy" Finding a medium ground between too much technical info/jargon and an easy read is actually challenging lol.
My other focus was to shine some light on companies that make rotary performance parts/work so that the rotary community will know what is available to us. im sure the OG members know all the rotary specific companies out there, but our community is constantly growning with new unversed rotarians who may need the information. Can you elaborate how the pictures random? They were pictures of the products we used in the portion of the build.
I agree that i wish i could have more detail, perhaps i can do a build thread here, perhaps i will now that the first 2 issues are out.
The first issue will be online shortly so perhaps you can have a look back at it for the intro of the project. Thanks for your support!

The car was able to make it out for the last Cscs event this past sunday. It was the first event the car could make it out to. It was an interesting day, suffered a shunt of the track on turn 2 when i ran out of braking room and destroyed my front splitter. Despite the lack of seat time and a front splitter, i was able to achieve a personal best and placed third in class.
Im happy that an untested car was able to get the result.
I would like to thank my sponsors and everyone who helped get the car to where it is now. Id like to give a special thanks to Marco 'thewird' for tuning the car and taking the time out of his busy schedule multiple times to come out to the track to help sort out the car.
The car and driver will only get faster next year!
It was also nice to see the rotary family again, Jimmy, andrew, marco, steve b, gabe out on the track again. Hope to see you all next season.

Read and heard a lot about your runs in this car. Seems like everyone was impressed and expecting good things next season I can't wait to see it at one of the events! Show em what RX7s do best!
