Meeting of Mazdas 2009 (MOM2009)
The Toronto Protegé Club (www.toprotege.com) would like to take this opportunity to invite you to join us at the 7th Annual Meeting of Mazdas.
The inaugural event was hosted 7 years ago by the Miataphiles and has been hosted by several local Mazda enthusiast clubs in subsequent years. This year, it’s our turn and we have special surprises in store.
Without further ado, here is the 2009 MOM Announcement:
The MOM 2009 website (www.mom2009.com), will be up and fully functional over the next couple of weeks. Details will be added as they become available, both to the official MOM 2009 website and to this thread. The website will eventually be available for everyone to register to indicate their intention to attend MOM 2009. For now we just wanted to get the word out about the date and location so that everyone can mark it in their calendars.
We would appreciate if one or more of the Officers / Admins on your board would take the lead for consolidating any questions which can be directed to us at: questions 'at' mom2009 'dot' com and we will answer them promptly. Please be patient though as full event details will be posted in 2-3 weeks.
We will post up here with event updates and when the site is fully functional.
You can count on lots of activities for this Family event, including a Show n' Shine Competition with several categories (to be announced), Games, Prizes and Giveaways!
If any of your club sponsors would be interested in helping out the event with prizes, please send an email with details to sponsors 'at' mom2009 'dot' com
Club Admins, if you would like to post banners for this event, here they are:

I have to attend the drift thing at Downsview with the race car that day (actually all weekend) with BFGoodrich. I will try and make it up in the morning with the 1990 3 rotor cosmo for an hour or 2 then run back to the other event!

I checked out the site just now, so we need ten 7's to get a prize or plaque, like ScrappyDoo said...... who else are going?
Each of us gets a plaque, or just one plaque for a club? Just wondering!

But that isn't the point. I think all other mazdas will be represented well. It would be nice to see some sevens at the only meet I can personally attend this summer.

Yeah, its been a discussed issue in the past. They only award one plaque to an individual car from all three generations of 7! Each gen is so different it really merits one plaque/award for the best select from each.

I don't think they care. Nobody is going to refuse you entry. I think the registration was so that they knew how many potential trophies they needed to buy.
It is a real shame that there are two big meets within a week as attendance at both is clearly going to be affected.
