Yes, thanks to Alan for organizing this great event!

It's been several years since I've been on the big track and frankly I stunk which is why I pitted after the 2nd lap since I was feeling guilty about the guys behind me. On retrospect I maybe should have joined the second group.

You can watch my antics here!

Again your all very welcome! If you have any pics or vids to share please send them to abrracing@rogers.com

I am going to post 3 pic of the fire you all saw that was in turn 9. It was a friend of mine and fellow racer and yes he did walk out of the car with some burns on his face. The 1st pic he is still in the car, 2nd pic walking away and 3rd pic shows the intensity of the fire. When you view these you will see why 23 Racer and I harp on people who have high powered cars on the track and dont wear drivers suits, have fire systems (not a hand held fire extinguisher), wear a proper harness etc. If not for his suit he wouldnt have made it out of the car. Yes I know it can never happen to you.................... We believe the fire was caused by the failure of a sight glass on the side of the oil tank..................the time between the 1st pic and 3rd pic was 37 seconds.....The fire was instant as the fine spray of the high pressure oil misted onto the race temp headers. He was probably going 80mph when the car just lit up.

Dead-eye, that footage was great. Was that a gopro camera? Where and how did you mount it?

I had little aluminum bracket mounted to my front tow hook. That way it's mounted to something solid that doesn't vibrate and you can crank the go-pro casing nice and tight.
