Lsx fd

The only thing gay about this thread is the responses. He wasn't asking for peoples opinion, he was looking to those who had experience with the swaps. I for one have always been interested in an lsx swap. I bought my first FD with the intention of going LS. I didn't an instead had the engine rebuilt so I could run more boost with the BNR's. I absolutely love my current car, but I want more power than a two rotor. That means a 20b or a turbo ls swap.
Having now experienced a turbo ls FD I was blown away by several things. The smooth idle, the ease and drive ability, how damn clean the exhaust was, and of course the power.
It all boils down to preference. I personally can't stand giant *** spoilers, wide body kits, and those eff'd up head lights people put on the FD. Jim has an incredible car. It is quick and well sorted out with quality parts. It now sits for sale, and I would have been interested in it prior to him stripping it down. Since I do not track my car, Jim's now has less value to me. But before I would have strongly considered it. Even Marco's car is losing my interest for the same reasons. But it doesn't matter what I think because it's there car, not mine. To the right person their cars are worth it.
Is an ls swap right? Is a 20b swap right? It is for the person who pays for it, and that's all that matters. If you don't want to switch engines then don't.

East Meets West: A Domestic LS9 Swapped FD RX-7 - Auto Blog | Revvolution
This car is on norotors.com as well. The owner is switching up the turbo system, and has a small build thread going. This car looks pretty clean, and competes in 1/2 mile events where it has gone 193mph.
Why am I sharing this?? Dunno I was just reading about it so what the hell. Carry on with your debate now

You talk as though you are the authority on what an RX7 is, when you are not.
You have been weighed, you have been measured, and you have been found wanting.
Norotors is a good site. So good, many members of this site frequent it. Every time you post you show a bit more ignorance and even less intelligence.
I am now confident that spending my time tearing your comments apart was worthwhile. I will gladly continue to do so. I was originally not going to reply but you 'deserve' it.
Have a nice day.

I'm actually of the same mind as thewird & mazdamike, however these arguments are useless, though sometimes fun.
Just one little thing, you had asked if there's anything that says an RX-7 needs to have a rotary engine...and the truth is...there is...Mazda said so...when they decided to call it an "R"X-7. Can anyone guess what the "R" stands for? lol. Jus sayin...you asked. Also racing history proves the strength & reliability of the rotary engine, so anyone who says otherwise is actually just ignorant & blaming the car for some mistake of their own.
Btw I'm not arguing, at the end of the day, everyone will do what they want. If I had the power I would make any non-rotary swap illegal (I actually hate any and all intercompany swaps), haha. Anyway, I hope somewhere in this mess the OP got something useful...though it's pretty unlikely, lol.

LS1/T56 FC here - no doubt an FD swap will have its unique hurdles, but if you have any questions about the swap, let me know! I did everything myself (and because of that, I did some things twice....).
As to whether or not I like the result.....I am definitely planning to do an LS/FD in the future. My FC is a hoot on the street and the track, even if I have removed its "soul" and made it as front heavy as Pam Anderson.

I've been to couple track days at grand bend (never for competition), and have been to a couple Auto-X events around London. Then of course 1/4 mile.
No matter where I go, I'm usually pretty good at proving there is more car than driver! haha
