JHB Housings and rotors!!

I have all my housings back from JHB and thermal coated rotors as well!
Everything looks great!

I had a pair of housings custom clearanced for a race motor I'm building that is going into a Full Bridge Ported 13B RE which will rev to about 9,500-10,000.

The 3 housings in the center are going into my 20B and the other pair are going into my Half Bridged 13B RE.

The rotors I had thermal coated were a pair of S5 N/A and a pair of S5 T2 which are also going into my 13B RE motor.

Just thought I'd share some pics of some cool stuff

Altogether?...alot! haha

The housings go for about $1000 CDN per pair and I think the rotors were $300 per pair to have coated...

For my 13B RE I'll be using Atkins seals, which should be showing up next week.
I believe the race motor is getting Atkins seals as well. The 20B motor hasn't been decided yet....whatever will withstand alot of power lol.

that's some nice hardware.

hmm, $300 per pair for the S5 NA rotors? that doesn't seem too bad. is that customer pricing also?

Hevnst - The crazy Full Bridged RE motor is for a customers FC, the Half bridge RE motor is for my FC and the 20B.....welll I'll post pics of what its going into when the car gets to the shop

coldfire - Yeah just off the top of my head, I believe its about $300 CDN/pair, you supply the rotors.

The thermal coating on the rotor face is supposed to reduce carbon build up and also lower oil temps.

vipernicus42 - Its $1000/pair....not each lol ! More like only $4000 worth

No WONDER I've been having to wait so long to get my stuff

Looks good. People would **** a brick if they saw a new stock housing surface beside of the cermet version. They are amazed when they FEEL the difference for themselves when comparing them on my shelf. That's how I've sold every set thus far

Curious about how they run and if the coating is working well.

!! Swain in NY state charges $100/rotor to coat.. $300 is a bit over the top. what's the extra $200/rotor get you?

has this company released any wear data on the product yet? they said they were going to provide some sort of info months ago and then didn't bother too....

$100 US per rotor????

The JHB process is $300 CDN for a pair! Plus they are within Canada so you wouldn't have to worry about duties and whatever the hell else they feel like charging you that day for shipping.

I haven't talked to Marc for a while, but I'm assuming he's busy. Last I heard he had something like 750 housings they were trying to process.

The motor that I just built for my FC will be put through its paces this summer and next winter I plan on tearing it down and taking lots of pics to show and to prove that JHB's claims are exactly what they say. I'm hoping to put at least 20-30k on the car over the summer/fall.

so I'm going to assume that like Swain, JHB has specs and data on thier rotor coatings so your know what your getting and how it's going to impact heat/wear ect..

or would this be a silly assumtion to make based on my last attempt to get even the most basic of information out of them/you on thier coatings?

What's up your ***? Relax man...if I'd spent years developing a product I wouldnt want specifications floating around the internet just to be copied. They have a right to be cautious.

The guys that Nik and I are helping with their race FD will be running a full JHB coated engine. Rotors and housings.

Testing that stuff in a race environment will be interesting...

Back off, THEY choose the inital tone to take with me and my requests/questions initally, not me.

and asking for 'wear ratings' is hardly a 'secret' unless they don't want it known.. in which case thier product is useless to most but those willing to blindly pay money for litterally mothing but open ended statements and in some cases outright lies.

Geez buddy...

How about dirtying up another thread where you aren't stepping on the toes of a friend of mine who is trying to show other members his experiences with this product - which this thread will undoubtabley come to - if you want to spam JHB with requests for info on their product do it to them, not spamming up poor Joe's thread with a bunch of ticked off comments.

A perfect example of people willing to simply roll over and accept whats been fed to them.. no questions asked.

Well I had questions and i get goons like you tring to crank on me for them.. typical. " he's my buddie so don't question the product, your an idiot ". If your 'Friend' was actually forth coming with vaible information and trials instead of just prices.. where are these ' experineces you talk about?.. Even now, all we've seen is cleaned up and surfaced housings with long waits for in between?? wow.. what do they do? how well do they do it and why are 'we' suppose to pay big bucks for somethign that has no not even a 'proof of product in use' to back it up.
