Insurance. Prices? Ages?

Okay guys I'm 20 years old I've been insured for probably 3 years now. I have 1 ticket for 15 over and a failure to present insurance slip (It was expired). Now I pay 2700 dollars a year for a 1994 Protege 4door.

I want to insure my RX7 next spring. I tried my company and they said they don't insure anything 20 years older. So I'm looking around for a good price. I'm wondering whats your age, what do you pay for your RX7 and how long have you been insured? And what company or Broker should I try?

I am 20, JDM RX7 have a 0 rated license(meaning no discount) and I pay just over 1300 a year to license the car. I only buy half a year then a storage insurance for 100 bucks. using SGI in Saskatchewan.... our only option apparently good rates too!

I just turned 21 like 5 days ago. I drive a 93 JDM FD appraised for $20,000
i have a year premium currently of 5000-5200 ish but since i only drive it in summer, ill just temporary stop it for around half the year.....insured by Nordic Insurance. (had the insurance starting Nov 08)

something funny about that is that i have a 06 Impreza (normally aspirated) (daily driving) that cost me roughly $6000

i have never got a speeding ticket, ive got a fail to make a right turn on a must turn right sign........unsigned ownership slip....

oh one reason that my insurance is that expensive...is that i dont on a second driver kinda a thing...where some people just stick to their parents insurance which is substantiallly extremely lower then what i pay.

Im 20 and I just moved from my parents to my own insurance. My for my FC I paid about $1200 a year, dont have the best driving record either, few accidents my fault, and 1 ticket for turning when unsafe (also wrote off my GSL-SE that same incident). Altough my license is pretty pricey. Cost me over a grand after it got suspended, now its suspended again for one speeding ticket (its my first one too, argh, tried impressing a girl in the passenger seat, bad idea), its gonna be interesting to see how much it is now...

I've had my own insurance since I was 17 and I bought my first vehicle. I had a base 2 door 4cyl 1995 S10 pick up. My insurance was like $3000 a year and never really changed at all. When I bought my Rx-7 I was probably around 20 and I think it was like $2000 a year to insure. At that time it wasn't 20 years old yet though so it didn't have to be appraised or anything. I've been with wawanesa the whole time. They are not the cheapest, but since I've been with them for so long they give me a pretty good discount now. I'm 22 with a clean record. No tickets or accidents.

I'm 19, I have one NON at fault accident (deer nuf said!) and one ticket (10over no points so it doesnt show on my drivers abstract) I pay aprox $256/month while mine is on the road so about $3000 a year..... I've been insured for 3 years now as well but only have my G2 thats thru Degardins

I had to shop around a LOT, I've had quotes from my current- $9k/year for JUST my FB with PL/PD, snows and 10,000km/year.....

I've always had my own insurance
my first truck a mazda b2200 cost me $156 a month @ 20 years old
my 96 civic cost me $140 a month @21
my 03 accord coupe cost me $240 a month (full coverage) then currently @24
my Fc costs me $74 a month when my term started when i was 24 its gone down abit since I turned 25

One 15 over when i had my Civic and got my license suspended for not paying it soon enough (oops lesson learned) my insurance company has always known my cars were never stock and i always disclosed what was done to them (well almost NEVER TELL THEM ABOUT ENGINE MODS OR ANYTHING THAT MAY MAKE THE CAR FASTER lol)

both the trucks I had

the civic I had

The accord I had

Just shop around look for student discounts try kanetixs.ca there But i always found belair to be the best

I'm 26, clean record and I'm paying roughly 990 a year for my 93 fd. That's full coverage with a $500 deductible. If I decide to store it, they qouted me about $15 a month for fire & theft. My Honda cbr is running me 1000 a year. Last year I was driving a 2000 jeep tj and it was costing me roughly 1400 a year. I also have 6 trucks insured under my business and they cost anywhere from $1500 to $2500 a year plus $90 a month per driver. In the end, insurance is just a legal form of extortion. IMO, you shouldn't have to keep paying for collision once you've payed them the equivalent of what your car is worth and you have a clean record. I'm tired of paying for other people's **** ups.

Okay sounds good sounds like I can afford my FC after all. Which broker or company would you guys recommend for insuring it? Bel Air wont insure it because its 22 years old they wont insure anything older than 1993.

Try calling insurance brokers rather than large companies. I get my insurance through sinclar-cockburn and they've beat every qoute I got by quite a bit.

i have to wait for my rates to drop from turnin 25 at my renewal but for being 24, i was paying $193/ month for my mx3 v6 and my 87 TII, i got a 2000 neon to replace the mx3 and it went up $17/ month lol i thought 4 doors woulda been cheaper

i dont have any tickets, one not at fault accident (throttle stuck on the 7, went drifting through on comming traffic, took it to court, represented myself, ruled mechanical failure, no grounds for prosection) i still have 5 star rating clean record...knock on wood lol
