Why do you want to clean the intercooler? No it wouldn't harm it.

I cleaned mine but it is futile as it comes back. I just used dish soap and lots of warm water. Rinse and repeat.

brake cleaner or a parts cleaning material will get rid of the oil.

Gettting a catch can and routing all the breathing that goes to the intake may help getting rid of the oil. But then you'd have to empty the catch can.

Catch can is just that. It catches the oil in a can. It has nothing to do with AC.

Stock doesn't have a catch can. They route the breathing to the plenum with the PCV and some more lines to the primary turbo intake (where the oil comes from). It's done this way so the engine eats it and it gets burned and out the exhaust. If you install a catch can, you will have to empty the oil ever so often.

Personally I'd just leave it alone unless you go single. It's not really hurting anything.

If you really need to get an oil catch can, a GReddy one is good enough..... Sometime you can find it in the classified section for $70-90-ish....
