ON HELP, Check Engine light + Hesitation

Hi All,

My FC is at New MazMark Auto right now. 1991 N/A. It had a rebuild 2 years ago, with 1000kms on it since. It starts up fine. I have a high flow cat on it.

It runs fine for about 10 minutes then the Check Engine light comes on. And the vehicle hesitates around 3000rpm only when the Check Engine light is lit.

They've tried another ECU. No change.
I'm starting work soon and need it on the road to work this summer to save up for school in Sept.

Help guys! Sorry for such a newb post. And thanks in advance for all your help!

Nathan

(Rear seats anyone? LOL)

Your OMP is starting to go.S5 engines are known to have the Crappy OMP from Hell!
Since they are Electrical, they will Send a signal to the ECU and put the engine into Limp MODE.
Check engine light comes on and it Goes all screwy, and you lose power, etc.
get the Codes off the Car,,and see what codes it is throwing out..I am thinking a17 or 27 or 28..something like that( If memory is correct)

Be careful with swapping ECUs. On S5s, bad OMPs will kill good ECUs and you'll be chasing a red herring. Many shops have learned this the hard way.
