Theres supras. Lots of supras. You just have to progress through the game to get everything unlocked. Theres even supposed to be an FC GTu.

I just bought an N/A Supra not too long ago.

I played yesterdasy and had a lot of fun, it's MUCH more realistic than GT2 that I've been playing on my PSX. you can't just point and shoot anymore, it just won't work The license tests are pretty hard this time around too, in GT2 I can get all the licenses in around an hour and this time it took me almost 3...

Id offer a review of the game, but Im kinda busy playing right now...

This game is fun and the graphics are basically what I expected from a PS2 game. Im thinking it'll get more fun as I play.

I like how speed scruffs off when you push it a little too hard, and how well the 7's are represented. But it wasn't all I thought it would be, but not dissapointed though. There is almost too much to do, the game has a bit of a disorganized feeling though, seems a bit scattard compared to GT3. Gotta go play it more though, later

does anyone else hate the PS2 controller for playing GT? it is freaking impossible to get any sort of partial throttle modulation...looks like it's time to get a better controller...or one of those expensive steering wheels
although i've used steering wheels for racing games before and i can never quite pull off the same lap times as with a controller...

yeah, i have tried that. i just don't feel comfortable doing that since i use the left analog stick also.
Gran Turismo is the only racing game i play on PS2, so i am too used to an xbox controller, hehe. i have to admit though, the xbox controller, especially the S controller, is a much better controller for a game like this...

The controller used to be hard for me to use but in this release I find myself just going all out on the throttle and then on turns braking...the inbetween is letting go of the throttle. If you need a bit more speed or just to get it back up for a second (if you let go too early)...just blip the button a few times, that way it's not full back up and over the speed you're going.

i have actually been doing a bit of what you are saying, and it seems to work. but that's not ever realistic, now is it
i wouldn't mind if it were any other game, but this is Gran Turismo. there is a reason REAL cars in REAL life have a throttle instead of an on/off switch. partial throttle is very useful, for example, when you need to power out of a corner as fast as you can without overpowering your traction. not too much of an issue with the cars i have now, but once you get over 400 or 500 hp it becomes one...

edit: i am actually using L1 for gas, L2 for brake, x for handbrake, o for upshift, 'square' for downshift. i find this gives me better control for trail braking and quicker transitions from throttle to brake. it's also more of what i am used to with the xbox controller...

I use the Logitech Driving Force Pro Wheel. It was the best $200 I've ever spent on my PS2, or any game system for that matter. It brought the game to life in so many ways you'd never know with the normal gamepad. I'd definetly recommend it. The Force Feedback isnt revolutionary, but the 900 degrees of rotation is.

I have a logitech wheel but I hate the force feedback on it...maybe it's one of those things you either love or hate. I'd love to have the wheel and pedals mounted somewhere.

i just played it.... i don't got a ps2, but my friend does, and he just bought the game on monday, and left his ps2 over at my house, so i had lots of fun

the game is awesome.... i started with an S5 FC, (well me and my friend) and eventually we maxed it out, i think it was aorund ~430hp, its awesome, the only things left to get on it, is the rollcage, and the body refresher thing..

after the FC, my friend bought a skyline (R32)(he loves skylines) he maxed that out to 710hp... basically he has the same things left to get as my fc

i bought an FD (i just had to get the spirit R, it was begging me to buy it lol), in the process of trying to max that out, so far i haven't gotten a turbo upgrade, but the engine upgrades got me to about 400hp... i think all thats left for it is the transmission, and the turbo upgrade....and the rollcage and body refresher thing also... (i think).... i think it was supposed to hit aroun ~650hp with the turbo upgrade....

we just won the RX-8 LM car.... its N/A and i think was 508hp.... (has the 787b paint job) that car was pretty quick.... it seemed awesome... we looked at upgrades, and there was a turbo upgrade for it, and it pushes the power to 800+ range... damn that car is gonna be awesome

we also have the cosmo 110s

and we have another race car FC, that we won.... and a bunch of cars that we won, liek those crazy prototype things with 1 gear.... lol its funny cuz my FC and FD both get higher top speeds (well the FD will when i change the tranny)....

i love the game, its awesome...i cant wait for forza though... hopefully it has some rotarys in it...

my friend took the ps2 back today though

sweet. you have an impressive rotary collection there.
yup, right now i'm playing my friend's game also. i haven't picked up the game yet.
unfortunately no rotaries yet. we have an EVO, R33, and 350z, and are getting pretty maxed out.

yeah, i am anticipating Forza also. i do know there will be RX-7s in it of every generation...

awesome, its good thats its gonna have all gens of 7s.... the thing thats gonna be awesome is that its a racing sim like gt4, but u can still do up ure car with performance parts, AND body kits and so on, but still be able to race them properly, unlike nfs:underground series where the racing is just soo fake.

i watched the trailer to forza, and i think i saw a glimpse of a yellow FD...

we have even more rotaries in our garage that i didn't mention, liek the RX-8 prototype car... and i think we have a couple of other mazda cars that are non rotary... we gonna be working towards getting the 787b, and the RE-Amemiya FD soon (once our current cars are maxed out)

lol all i need in it is the protege (cuz i got one at home [too bad they don't have the '99-'00 model, with the 1.8l] lol).... A FC and A Protege (my dads also got an old '87 celica) in my garage, and time to get them in the gt4 garage :p

does the game have any 1st gens???

You guys have been playing this game way too long! lol

I just started... still only have 1 car in the garage...98 FD in blue... I had a 96 FD Silver but, as I discovered, the car gets a bit floaty at high speeds... LOL I guess that rear wing doesn't do much after all...
So I upped to the 98 FD... I'm still trying to find my 94 VR... I've seen a number of 93's, 95's, even 91's... but no 94's... must have been an elusive year or something...

I'm only playing to get the cars I really want... I need a couple LM's in RX-7's and RX-8's... The 787B is a must... And I have to get the McLaren F1 LM... The rest don't really matter to me...

I've sold some horrible looking cars you win in the Beginners area...

I hate clutter... trying to keep the garage to a 10-15 car maximum...

Lates,
