I do however have serious gripes with the GT series that just seem to go ignored in what i've come to see is a japanese strive for statistical excellent over the "feel" and intangible things that would make a sim great.
1) Don't give me 15 miatas...what about some vintage Japanese cars? Mazda Carol, Toyota 2000GT, Oldschool Prince's and GT-R's (R31's), RX-3's. The game tries so hard to be the bible of automotive gaming, but it doesn't include anything oldschool for the most part. Weak offering from lambo too....where's the roadgoing Diablo??
2) The A.I. It's horrible, inexcusibly so.
3) Ever since forza 2, I've fet that that series does a better job of communicating "feel" thru the controler. Heavy car's feel heavier, light cars feel light and nimble. Braking and accelerating with the controller triggers felt more natural. GT cars feel disconnected and dead.
That's about it really. Is it still the best racing game on PS3? Absolutly. Do I kinda wish I still had my copy of Forza 3? Yep.
In the interest of fairness, i'll spend some more time with the game and then revisit this.

5 years to developed, design, update and perfect this game, there should be no excuses whatsoever to have anything but a modern day classic. No FB’s??? 10+ civics no one needs, but not one FB? I mean hey it only made top 10 car list for the 70’s, why should it be in the game? No Porsches? And i was really hoping to see most, if not all, IMSA cars in this game. Disappointed i am, but i guess with time and countless hours wasted playing the game, I will forget about most of what i said. Also, Lack of maps is most displeasing.
