going to canada

drove from Seattle to Vancouver the other day and they said you need some proof of citizenship (going from US to Canada). They let my dad through without anything but a mild bit*hing-out.
(note: can we swear on here? I edited just in case. Wouldn't want to upset the mods.)

ID and Montreal North
Hello,
You will be ok with a drivers, another photo ID and birth certificate.
Make sure that if your bringing back the engine with proper paper work and a bill of sale. If you get a newbie on the job who has something t prove he/she may want to run the serial number against a theft list which could tie you up for hours (or days). Also, if its a JDM engine or any for that mater a certificate of origin would be advised as well. Not trying to scare you and all this is problably over kill but if you can get these things it couldn't hurt.
So your coming up to Montreal? What place is that your are going to? I have never heard of them. Then again, I have never really searched for Mazda parts yet. What have you heard of them? Are they good? If you run into trouble or get lost maybe can help out if in town, or if you want to check out my near mint original Old Skool 1974 RX4 just for the fun of it. I did not notice but when are you coming down?
I will try and look up the pace you are going to and see what I learn. I do not know that street but then again I don't know 3/4 of them.
regards
Max

For the person who said turning right on a red light is illegal in Quebec, not quite. Six years ago it was changed, it's legal now in Quebec everywhere except the island of Montreal itself.
So that makes Montreal and NYC the only two places in North America where you can't legally turn right on a red light, as far as I know.
