Giving back, rebuild's for free
Time has come for me to retire from the rotary seen but would like to offer my knowledge to those that will carry on with this awesome engine. So to pass along the torch to the true enthusiast my offer to those is I will do the final steps in the engine rebuild process for free and teach along the way.
Here is how I would like it to work:
You do all the leg work, pull the engine, strip it down into parts, clean the parts, buy the parts needed for the build, bring what would be a short block to me at my home and I will do the rest with you present to watch and learn.
I hope to help as many people out as time and reason will permit, inquires will be done by PM only, remember this for total non profit on my behalf....I just want to give back before I’m done completely with RX7’s and rotary engine’s.

Holey crap Jim, thats an amazing and very generous offer and I hope that people take you up on it. I hope your transition period takes a fairly long time as your level of knowledge and experiences are hard to replace.
All the best in whatever your future endeavors entail.

I bought everything needed, did the leg work and Jim built my new engine for free.
Honest and down to earth guy, he won't lead you down the wrong path. Two thumbs up for JDK.

Definitely going to take you up on that offer once I get things sorted out with my motor.
Props to Jim for providing and giving so much value to the rotary community. To say that is an understatement.

Wow,this is fantastic!
Idea: if you had the room, maybe do it like a small classroom affair.Say 3 people at once.
I know time is valuable and hell, your expertise would shine through in more cars!..(that get rebuilt and get back running..THIS summer..lol!)
Small question. What time frame would the build entail if all parts were spec'd and all rebuild parts were on hand?

Very generous offer, and great way to pass on the knowledge and any tips and tricks to doing it right.
Any interest in making a video of one of these building sessions, it could be a great reference tool and also allow more people to gain some insight into the build process.

Wow Jim that's amazing, you're a great guy.
Can I ask you a favour? If you're going to do a rebuild, can I come help, and by help I mean watch and be your tool bitch? I would love to learn and my schedule is completely free all week every week.
PM me if you'd like. I just want a better understanding of the rotary.
