For sure man, I know there are a Ton of Fc guys on here that do nothing more than Lurk and not post it would be nice to get the community more active

Three alternating meet locations (one meet every Friday, each location has a meet every third Friday)


Locations:

South/West: Boston Pizza @ Square One
North/East: Boston Pizza @ 404 and Major Mackenzie
South/Downtown: Keating Channel Pub (in the docklands, patio, lots of parking, close to everything.


Tentative Calendar:

April 1st South/West
April 8th North/East
April 15th South/Downtown
April 22nd South/West
April 29th North/East

May 6th South/Downtown
May 13th South/West
May 20th North/East
May 27th South Downtown

And so on...


I think every third Friday is realistic to generate a larger group no?

If we were to pick one place then as you can see in the interest in posts above it would alienate a number of people. By having three, people can attend the one that makes geographic sense to them on that date. Nobody says you have to attend all three or even two, if there is not enough interest or confirmed attendees for one location one week then fine, nobody goes. I'd likely go to Markham and an occasional downtown one but rarely if ever go to Square One, conversely there are people in Oakville and Misserysauga that will likely never get to a downtown meet let alone one in Markham. My vote is we try alternating the three and modify according to interest/attendance.

 

^ makes sense to me, and if there is anyone like me, travelling west/north a lot of weekends, they provide a much needed ear-brake from the highway drone

I'll do my best to show up for april 1st, but the car is still in the garage as we speak. It may be difficult to pull it out this weekend as well.
