fd tps question

I am trying to get the voltage correct on my tips. I have used three different tps's now. All the voltages are within the allowed limits except for the 2nd from the top (green wire with red strip), at WOT the best number i can get is aprox 5.16v. Is this fine, as I'm confused as to why I can't get it just right.

it is supposed to get 5volts reference voltage. So I'd say you are good on that reading.

hit the jpeg on post #11 and it gives you Color of wires at Tps and function.

I did use the fd3s.net web page as my guide but it says your voltage must be between 4.8 and 5.0 at WOT for the wire second from the top. The best voltage I can get is 5.16 frOm the three tps's I have laying around. The other voltages are all good.

I should be good as long as you don't have any dead spots on the tps...

With the thermowax (cold start) disabled, there are specific voltages that the narrow and wide signals need to be within. The WOT doesn't matter as much as the idle setting, but there is a limit to it as it will cause the car to cut out if its too high.

Well I've set the voltage on the second wire from the top at 0.76 volts at idle and the bottom wire is at 0.33 volts at idle. What do u guys think? Also the voltage climbs steadily as you turn the throttle with no read spots. I have a question, regarding the second from the top wire, when turning the throttle the voltage maxes out and stops climbing a bit before the shaft stops spinning, any ideas?

That is normal, its a 2 stage tps.
