Saw it today on autotrader.
"needs body work, safety, E test and body work extra"
What a shame

I would buy it but it says Left hand drive.
I use my left hand to Give people the finger..
..This car is reminding me of that Marketplace episode where they investigate Shoddy used car lots!

Its the same car. After it disappeared off the salvage auction web site, it appeared on Gold Wing's site for sale with minor body damage. After there were no takers, it disappeared for a bit, then reappeared freshly painted. So unless Gold Wing has had 2 x red 93 FDs for sale, its the same car.

I have checked through some reputable channels and yes it is one and the same car. No matter how many times I have asked the seller, they have refused to disclose whether or not the car has an accident history.
Could be a nasty bit of business. The collision wont show up on the Ontario databases, as the car is an american import from MA, so the only way that there would be a history for the collision would be if the previous American owner reported the accident before selling the vehicle to the importer - this would be found via a cross jurisdictional search (ie Carfax).
End of the day - they're asking good money for an american car with a collision history and they're not being especially up front about it.

Are dealers not required to disclose the vehicle's history in Ontario? They are here in Alberta, and we have generally have the weakest protections for consumers and workers in Canada. Since they repaired it, this dealer certainly knows it was damaged - and was it not damaged in Canada? I thought the car was previously imported by a forum member in Ontario before it was damaged - ?
