FD coming up at salvage auction in the GTA
#33
I called the facility today, their rep told me that there's not point in signing up in Canada because you have to be a registered car dealer to place a bid. Unless one of you, or someone you know is willing to place a bid on behalf of other members here, this car is gonna go to another idiot who'll wrap it around a pole

you guys need to be an auto dealer to bid on copart auctions and have to be bonded 10% of the amount you can bid up to(so if you want to bid up to $10k you have to give the auction a $1k deposit).
no the listed price isn't the selling price, it is the current STARTING bid for the live auction which starts on the date/time listed.
some cars go for dirt, others go for more than they're worth without rhyme or reason.

will let you guys know up front, the start bid is only a fraction of the price the car will eventually go for on the live auction.
i did watch a 2004 Lotus Elise with 28k miles in running condition with what looked like only mangled body panels go for $6800 though(in california).
