Dgrr 2018
Hey guys,
A few of us are thinking about going to DGRR this year. We have a few people who are interested but we would like to know who else would be interested in coming. I know Buggy has been a few times so if someone who's been on the trip before could take the lead as well, that would be cool.

Last time there were 4 RX-7’s and 2 RX-8’s. It’s usually a convoy of about 6-8 cars. The trek down is long. Too bad there wasn’t a way to transport the cars down there and meet up with them. Driving around the area is fantastic. But getting down there is pretty brutal on the cars. Hopefully now that they moved the date back a little, the weather will be better.

As long as the weather is good the drive isn't that bad. The date is later this year I believe (mainly from us Canadians bitching we can't dig our cars out any earlier). That should help the weather situation. Due to my wedding this year I won't be going, but I will gladly help anyone trying to organize a trip. There are lots of great cabins in the area to rent. Just search around and find one that suits your needs. Book as early as you can though, they tend to book up quickly.

You can do the drive in one day, but it is a long day. Best to have a passenger with you that you can switch drivers every now and then. It's a comfortable 2 day drive though with time to stop and sight see here and there.

With the announcement by the Mango Mussolini of 25% tariffs on Canadian Steel and 10% on Canadian aluminum, and possible unilateral dismissal of NAFTA - I wonder as Canadians if we should stop going to the US and spending our tourist dollars (ie DGRR 2018). Opinions???

It really is a shame they have a lunactic running the country. With the amount of spending I’m doing on the car right now, I doubt I’ll be able to go this year. I’ll see in another month or so
