Death of an RX-7
Well my baby is goners,
Hydro-planed on Deerfoot and now its a mess. Woo bad day heh.
Haven't really decided what to do with it yet. But fixing it seems like its gonna be alot, with the frame damage on the front. Any suggestions?

claim insurance (if your tires aren't bald) and get # 2 of Feds' list. or get a reasonable Daily Driver, buy a few houses, get a motorbike, renovate your basement, and for 4 years wish you had bought another 7

Sorry to hear about your loss man. I've been down that road but fortunately the accident wasn't my fault. I had a ford probe once and it was my baby until someone wrecked it. It still bothers me to this day. But I'd say if I were you I'd drive that supra next to the 7 in the pic.

aaaayyy karumba....
Sorry about that man!
As far as fixing that is concerned....pretty much a pipe dream considering the value of these cars. At first glance that baby would need a full cowl cut front end swap at the minimum.
May as well kiss it good bye and get as much off of it as you can before its vultured at the scrap yard.

Ouch! That sucks.
Out of curiosity where on Deerfoot did it happen? Before they re-did Deerfoot / Anderson / Bow Bottom a couple years ago I used to hydroplane in my van every time it rained.
If you are going to get another one and have the space I would pull off every part that is in pretty good shape and box it up.

Not parting it out yet.
Interesting idea for the 1st gen.
But I'm all about the 2nd gen... So if anyone has some good shells out there, I'd be interested.
It was an 87 JDM TII.
13b Engine w/ TD06-25G turbo, 65k on the motor.
PIAA Fog Lamps and Headlights (probably broke 1 of each hah)
Knight Sports Mirrors
17" BuddyClub P1 Wheels
Mazdaspeed Spoiler
JIC Bullet 4" Muffler and turbo back piping
Again not really looking to part it out, but its a free world, if you need something ask. It sure was an awesome car before the crash.

The first thing you need to do is accept that the sheet metal part is gone. Then it's time to do a real assessment of what can be saved. Once you know what you have, the decision is a lot easier. The easiest option is to throw everything into a donor shell.
Sorry to see the damage though.
