Codes
my car (90 TII conversion) wont idle, it consistantly flucuates when cold... warm, or no matter what. i have installed block off plates and redone alll my gaskets on intake manifold and also have redone my vaccuum lines.... i have checked consistantly at the order of the lines and for leaks yet there are none. My ECU threw these codes at me....
8 AFM
10 Intake air thermosensor (AFM)
30 Split air solenoid vavle.... removed
33 Port air solenoid valve... removed
38 Solenoid valve (AWS) accelerated warm-up system
42 Solenoid valve (Wastegate Control)
what could be causing my f***ed up idle i HAVE FRIGGIN TRIED EVERYTHING
Any help is appreciated and im very sorry for the long post. Please dont tell me to search as i have tried everything..... HELP ME PLEASE

the afm is likey due to the angle you have it on. the ones you have removed should show up because they are no longer funtional, i think anyways. but i would fix the afm and the bov.

have you looked for a crack in the exhaust manifold? That would cause an Idle problem and I had that before so I can tell you how frusterating it was to find it! Had to keep my foot on the gas, brake and clutch at every light just to keep if from dying. Anyway, just a thought!

Well I'm no expert, lol but the Intake air thermosensor is totally different from the AFM.....its on the aluminum elbow just before the throttle body.
If your exhaust mani was cracked and leaking, you would most definatly be able to hear it...
I suggest taking the upper intake off, check everything under it for loose vacume lines and re-install the upper with a new gasket.

FIRST thing you should do before trying to go through the troubleshooting is MAKE SURE TO RESET THE CODES.
what i mean is disconnecting the battery for a bit, then turning the car on again (and driving).
this makes sure you get the most current codes, since if you HAD a problem but fixed it, it would still be stored in the ECU...
you want to focus on the AFM 08 code. your car will never run properly if you have that code...

tried almost everything
redone every vaccuum line! redone upper intake manifold gasket! checked for cracks and leaks in manifold...none...! reset the codes (several times)! i feel as if i have tried everything... i even installed block off plates with new gaskets and redone the BAC gasket just to be sure... NOTHING... last night i got a steady idle at 2000 with all electrical loads on now i cant get the car to stay running... im almost sure its a bad ground so today im going to re-do all the grounds and hopefully that is the problem!
