I'm just outside of Halifax (which is more or less at the middle of the province.)
You should probably just tell him "Great. A buddy of mine lives in Nova Scotia, so he can check it out for me. Where in NS is it?" so he doesn't start moving it around the province. (Although I know people in most areas of the province.)

Ya I was joking in my earlier post. When I listed my car for sale I got many responses like that. Plus I noticed a LS1 FD for sale on kijiji a year ago. It looked like it was in amazing shape and it was posted in Brampton. Of course I messaged the guy.
He said it was in Bramtpon, Ontario. I said great I will be there is 30 minutes. He then replied he was too busy to show the car but send cash, and he would ship it to me. I knew it was a scam prior to that because the picture he used was on the old v8rx7 site, and it had palm trees in the back ground.

if its a red RHD Fd with a ls2 and a six speed, its legit, hes asking 30,000 give or take.

if its another, then i guess it could be a scam.

Hello,
Yes. If you will can going there to see the car let me know, but if you can not we will make the deal in this matter: first you will send me all your details for the delivery( full name and address). As soon as I'll receive this information's and your acceptation to start the shipping process I'll go to the shipping Company, make all the paper works and ship the car to your address .After all will be ready and the shipping process started I will give you all the necessary data for you to verify that the car in in the shipping Company custody and is coming to your address(Tracking Number,Receipt). You can verify the shipping route online.I checked a lot about a potential transaction between me and the buyer and for both safety we will use an escrow service. In this way both of us will be protected and the deal will be correct. So, after you will verify you shipment route online and all other data that I'll receive from the shipping Company you will have to make a first payment of 50% from the total amount to the shipping Company. An agent from there will handle the transaction and the money will be there in hold until you the car will arrive to your address and until you will be 100% satisfied with the car.You will have 3 days to test it or take it to an Official Service House. After the test period is over you will have to inform me about your decision:
A) If you decide to take the car: The Shipping Company agents have all the paperwork in hand and will help you complete the purchase and then you will send them the rest of the money and after that you will give them the permission to release me the all amount.
B) If you decide not to take the car: If you feel not satisfied with the car or it is not like i have described it you can refuse to buy it and then the delivery company will take the car back to me and you will get your money back (the deposit you have paid at the start of the transaction). Before I send the car i need a confirmation as you are sure to agree for us to close the deal and that you have the money. I want you to be serious about this because I am spending money with this shipping because i can't afford loosing this money and I will feel obligated to contact the authorities. I want the money to be send in 12h after the shipping will be made.I have attached some pictures with my car.

So, I'll wait your e-mail as soon as possible to let me know about your decision.
Thanks.

Bingo, a scam! Believe I ran into the same guy when I was looking for a FD. He was in London, UK and the car was being shipped to Barrie, ON ( Good trick since Barrie is on Lake Simcoe, it would have cost a fortune just in lock fees from Lake Ontario). Also ran into another running out of Michigan. Both were on Buy & Sell.

Total phishing scam + a straight out shakedown - they want your full name and address info up front, which would be for fraudulent credit card and loan apps in your name. The 50% up front to the "shipping co." (I bet it's not one you can find in a yellowpages.ca search or google) is just the robbery part. I've had similar scams sent to my business email (computer repairs) - someone supposedly with a batch of used laptops or some such is looking to have them configured and imaged with fresh Windows and assorted software, RAM upgrades, blah, blah...
They accept any price you name (I've played along a couple times). They will send a fake cashiers check up front, then it's supposed to be me paying the "shipper". I actually received a fake cashiers cheque via courier (from Boston) from one once - it was of course for even more than I specified, no doubt to appeal to my avarice. The "cheque" was poorly done on an inkjet, the business address was for a real business in Vancouver, on a (supposed) Bank of Nova Scotia account in downtown Toronto - but the account/branch/transit number wasn't in the Canadian format it was American, so I doubt a bank would even think of accepting it - the idea being you cash it, make the shipper payment, so the scammer gets a good chunk of the "payment" they made to you back, then after 5 days or so your bank bounces the cashier cheque.

Pure noob effort, I had been going to take it to a branch when it arrived for a laugh, but it was so poorly done I couldn't be bring myself to insult some teller's intelligence - or have them assume I was a moron. I kept it to use as an object lesson in computer and online security courses I occasionally offer.
