Hey guys that are up for the whole weekend, drop by our pit area and say hi. I will be in the #200 Kijiji Subaru run by Evan Greonke in the 3 Hour on Saturday. I am always willing to stop and say hi and show you around the car. Its a great car with a great history in the Grand Am Series.

I am planning on running my #23 RX7 in the 1 Hour GT Challenge race on Celebration Weekend on the 29th. I love all the enthusiasm.

Be at the track by 10:45 a.m. Go to the Registration Trailer at the main entrance, which is on your right as you enter. Sign your waiver and proceed to the paddock marked by the X on the map posted. There will be a driver meeting before assembly in the pits.

Are any of you guy's bringing an SA to this event? I might drop by just to pick some brains. As for running even parade laps, I'm not sure my suspension joints are good enough to take the stress. Planning to re and re a lot of suspension and interior pieces this winter as most of it is original '79. Engine and Dellorto carb are newly installed tho I had them sitting in the garage for 15 years. Gee I wonder if I'll recognize Eric? Haven't seen him since the '80's.

Sorry guys, looks like my wife and I won't be joining afterall. SOMEBODY forgot to let the car warm up yesterday before shutting it off and flooded the rx8 yesterday >.<

 

Well that was a blast! I had soo much fun driving my Vert on such a world renowned track at a good rate of speed I might add! Any pictures guys? How much did we raise for Sick Kids? Great to see old friends and meet new rotor heads!

Ya I kind of held up the advanced group a bit with the Rx-4. I doesn't go around the corners like the Rx-8s can.... Still needs some work in the handling department. I caught back up on the straights though. Great event as always though!

 

Don't lose any sleep over it, I was in front of most of the pack, third car back and still got held up, dam RX-8!

 

01Racings' comments are probably directed at me. Ask any of the guys and they will tell you that I asked to be put at the back of the novice group as I had no plans to test the limits of my 24 year-old vert or my 50+ year-old self.
When the big BMW lined up beside me just before we were to go out, I let him go ahead as I knew I would hold him up going up the straight and did not want to ruin his fun. i was keeping my pace and not far behind him and then then he slowed up on the straight and I had to let off. He was sand-bagging and then did two flying laps at the end and I lost him completely. Going up the straight I was signalling to the pace car behind me and slowing down as I thought we were done. He did not respond at all so I picked it up again and did one more lap to wait for the signal to come in.
Don't worry guys, i won't be out next time to slow things up. It was a great opportunity and a ton of fun AND the funds went to a great cause!
