That's alright. Look at this as a mini meet, if successful we can add a cruise to the next one. Finally we'll probably look at a fall closer at Bretts house again with a cool cruise in the country.

Too bad this isn't at 2pm as originally planned. Usually busy on Sunday evenings as I spend too much time with the car during the afternoons on weekends. Have fun.

Yeah, 6:00 isn't working for me either. Not sure why it was changed from 2:00.

So that's 3 people who want 2pm? Tell you what, I'll head down at 2 regardless. I can **** around in the park for a few hours, it should be a nice day, someone bring a f'ing frisbee.

I'm not moving the time of the meet, i'm just suggesing we loosen the timing a bit to "sunday afternoon"?

Changes his mind more than I do. If its at 6PM, I'll be there. If its before 6PM, I wont.

It's 6pm, whatever the showing turns out to be. No matter where you pick or waht time you choose someone is going to bitch. Change the place and time and still more bitches than confirmations.

So; I'll tell you how tough it is to plan a thread. You try to pick a place, but many wish to change it. You try to pick a date, but many are not available. You try to pick a time, but then you get replies and messages about work, stampede, vacation etc. All along you try to make changes to accomodate as many people as you can and still many complain. Yet you still see posts saying " why don't we have meets or start a car club ". Just thing, there were 2 postings for this meet with 686 views, if you exclude my replies there were a total of 41 replies (that's about 6%). Out of that 6%, almost 50% wanted changes to time or location, only 30% offerred comfirmation of attendance....Sooooooo even by accomodating requests to change locations and time we have a potential of a max turnout of 6-10 cars based on the feedback I have rec'd. Let's try to stick to Glenmore Park at 6pm and for the next one we'll take suggestions and make the first choice cast in stone and those who disagree can stay at home if they wish.

From now on, it should just be a location and time. Whatever is set in stone is set in stone. Whoever shows, shows. Instead of changing the time every day.

We should set a regular time and location. That way people can plan around that. Kinda like going to church.

We could set two meetings a month. The time will be the same, the location will change every 2 Months (4 Meets) for the driving season, to different sectors of the city, accomidating everyone. As attendance starts increasing, perhaps we can have a meet weekly. Or join the Beyond guys. Not that Im a fan of some of their company, but its a start.

I think the Beyond guys meet at chinook every wednesday night.

The miata club has a cruise at 10AM at the same location every sunday for the driving season. I've seen as little as 3 cars show up. And as many as 12 or more.

Its the first step towards a club. After careful consideration, and consultation, I take back my previous statements about a rotary enthusiast club being not possible. Its very possible. Im just not the one to start one.

Even though some of out scheduals are more acceptable for different times. i agree, that we'll have this meet sudnay at 6pm, if u can't attenp their will be another one. as things progress we'll be able to work out what times work for everyone, and from then we'll be able to confirm a date to witch we'll meet from then on. of course we can't expect everyone to show up every meet but life goes on and we hope they'll be able to make the next attendance.
i'm not a part of beyond but i do respect an enthusiest, perhaps we can meet with these guys and from there decide to stay or make a diffrent meet date?

I know as well as anyone how hard it can be to get a group to agree on the time and location for pretty much any event. I appreciate that someone's taken the reins. I'll be at the next meet, but this one isn't in the bards for me.

That being said, I'm going to plan on meeting up with Crymson in the afternoon and see if I can talk my way into the driver's seat of his new purchase.

Sorry guys; I'm out. Nothing to do with the time but with the fact that I've confirmed one of my rear wheel bearings is completely shot. The only driving I'll be doing is right from my place to a shop...

Well, that was certainly an expensive day for some people.

Next meet, lets not have so many old and grumpy people around.

i got a nice speeding ticket on the way because i was going through a construction zone that is normally 80 and dropped to 50. Gary (84stock) was gonna take me for a rip in his supercharged 1st gen and he laid a little patch on our way out of the parking lot just as the cops were rolling through. he got stunting. shitty deal

Man... That sucks. Double in construction zone too.

Gary, be sure to head down to the courthouse and tell your side; stunting is excessive IMO.

Wow, holy crap. That's pretty outrageous.

Constructing zone tickets suck *** too, becaues i beleive they're a 15% surcharge on your insurance too.
