Next Saturday (Sept. 17th) sounds good, and mighty nice of the Mazda 3 guys to invite us, since they have their meet scheduled at Glenmore park the same day. We could use Sunday the 18th for a rain date.

By that time I should have the brake, tires, ball joint and shock issues fixed on my wife's new (to her) GSL. That'll account for two 1st gens--- my silver one and her red one.

Glenmore park = Follow Crowchild trail southbound until you can't go any farther south without careening over the edge and into the reservior. (ie: stay in the left southbound lane on Crowchild--- do not get in the right lane, which takes you onto Glenmore trail eastbound).

Crowchild trail sounthbound narrows down to one southbound lane and then leads right into the park.

I showed in my gross 2nd Gen. On the way home though, the worst case senerio happend. POP. Well, we dont know if I popped the motor for sure, but Im pretty certain I did. An oil leak we didnt know about lead to an empty oil pan. I stabbed my foot into it 3/4 in 2nd gear and it quit. We were able to revive it and idle it no less than 2500RPM. I limped home and when it stops raining I will confirm if compression is there or not. If theres compression, then its ignition troubles, as I've had constant problems with in the past. If I blew the engine, I think max was on the right track with PP, so I might try that next.

Dayum, S. Car troubles just seem to stalk you don't they?

Dont even go there. Im the only guy in history to annihilate a brand new supposidly 'Bullet-Proof' Miata Transmission. Funny thing was, I wasnt even hard on the tranny really. Then the Clutch exploded. And it Seized in gear. New tranny still isnt right. Im starting to question its 'New-ness'.

Now my RX-7 on the other hand has been all engine problems. Im convinced carb is the way to go because theres less to go wrong. This EFI is like a web of bull. With very little help (and encouragement) from people, I've had to self teach myself everything I know to this point. Trial and Error is the way to go I guess. Pop a motor or two here and there to know what not to do.
