Damn, that sucks. Is this car-related, job-related, or new girl-friend-related? :D

The bachelor party I mentioned earlier has turned into a 4 day in and out of town ordeal.

You should try to beat the rush and book yourself a room in the detox centre now.

Hahaha no kidding. It should be interesting we'll see what happens.

You gonna make it out Shaun? I saw lots of street sweepers out this past week, that's usually the sign your bringing the car out

nubian 04-29-05 07:18 PM

that sucks graham, hope you have fun though. hows chris's motor comin, will he make it?

Not sure if he'll make it or not. Because of the condition of the housings and irons of that motor he basically had to source out all new one's, I think we've got it all together and it's just a matter of buying seals, o rings etc, once that's done we'll get it built.

ShaunO 04-30-05 08:18 AM

Yes, I'll be coming out, although I haven't even taken the cover off of Grace yet. I was in the Dominican Republic for the last two weeks, so I haven't had a chance. I haven't seen much evidence of street sweepers in my neighbourhood, but I'm hoping to get her out next weekend.

edv 04-30-05 08:44 AM

I'm insured as of today. Still waiting for parts, but they're not mission-critical.
That gives me the weekend for shakedown, then my annual spring mountain run starts on thursday morning.
Can't wait.

Alak 04-30-05 02:53 PM

We should meet up today or tomorrow Edv and you can take a shot again my Miata. I've been looking for someone to cruise with this weekend, regardless of weather.

Im gonna go wash it now.

Alak 05-04-05 01:29 AM

Someone wanna draw up a map to the exact location? I dont even know where it is.........

Scourge 05-04-05 01:59 AM

Southwest, kinda close to Mount Royal College.

rx7racerca 05-05-05 11:41 AM

Had been hoping to make it to this meet - it falls on a 4 day weekend for me - which was too perfect. We haven't visited the in-laws in a year, so I'm being shanghai'd. Hopefully next time.

84stock 05-05-05 02:33 PM

I'll be there! Looking forward to seeing and hearing the supercharged 7 that 14,5 has.

Alak 05-06-05 01:33 AM

Ya, I'll drag 14,5 out. Wait till you see the rubber he lays on the ground.

Alak 05-06-05 01:47 AM

Ok so heres the scoop. I've invited some of the members of the Miata club to drop by if they want. Theres a Calgary Sports Car Club BBQ at 10AM on the 14th. Its an ALL CLUBS BBQ. That means recognized official clubs so dont get any Ideas. I said ours started at 2PM. I've also put out an invitation to the Protege community. I thought it would be great to kick off the first BBQ of the season with everyone at once.

Where exactly is the spot we are meeting at? Im planning to drive there Tomorrow (Friday) and take a look. If anyone else cares to join me in the search, I'll be around there between 12 and 2PM in my Miata. Aiming for the most space possible in one area. Also the possibily of parking on the grass........

Anyone else have any thoughts?
