We should all try and organize a meet for this summer. I haven't been in the RX-7 world for a while so it will be nice to get back in and meet some other owners.

There will likely be one or two mini-meets in the early spring followed by the successful BBQ at Brett's house in Black Diamond. For all those who second a repeat BBQ say "I".

Hey guys
I just bought a 1987 GXL
But it needs a new engine (or atleast new apex seals on the rear rotor)
So if anyone has a 13b for sale in calgary or edmonton lemme know

It's way too early to actually be planning the exact date/time for the summer kick-off BBQ but rest assured, it will happen (again) sometime in June. I'll post up an official notice for it around mid-to-late May.

lol, my fb when i got it wasn't running, and the guy did the same thing, spark plugs all wrong. took a whole can of ether though... i had a problem with that too, but to get it run smoothly i poured a small amount of pre-mix gas into the carb as it was cranking, after she ran for a bit she ran okay.

86 GX.. sweet customized hole in muffler, dented passenger side, peeling paint.

I do all my work myself, this is my second 86.. both even same color in and out.

Planned for this one is s5 halfbridge turbo. going to build the engine myself also.. screw paying osmeone else to do stuff... and that is why I do it myself.. i feel SO ripped off even paying someone else ot change my oil.

not mine but you might want to try this guy - http://www.usedcalgary.com/classifie...passenger-cars

anyway I'm in Airdrie and casually looking for another Rx-7. Used to have a mint 81.

In Airdrie - I just picked this car up - its 1985 Mazda Rx-7 GSL with the 12A engine, 5spd gearbox, lsd rear end and four wheel disc brakes. Interior needs some cleaning. Aftermarket exhaust is reasonably loud and a light flywheel (I'd rather have the stock one since this is my commuter car but whatever).

I live in Airdrie aswell. I will have to keep my eye out for your FC. It's a nice looking car.

was that for me or the other hundred rx7 owners that have a broken mazda? mine should beready, i have started the wiring and only have a fuel system still to go. then i need to make it roadworthy (ie. put brakes on it and replace my lateral links) and get it insurance, i am not to shure how that will go.

Yup, we have a decent bbq this time, and I'm thinking of picking up a flamethrower as well--- one with enough range to reach where your V8-powered 7 is parked.

i will put some sweet fire insurance on it and if it happens to get burnt to the ground i will get the insurance money and buy another rx7 but this time it will put in a honda motor. hahahahahahahahaha

i cant wait, the bbq was a great event and if you have the same luck with weather it should be something for all of us to shoot for.
