But 'sophistication', which I also mentioned, is.

In many places native tribes were already warring with one another over territory when whites arrived. They were well aware what the land was worth, and allied themselves with the French or English based on which would give them a superior strategic advantage. Hardly naivite.

While they have the roads blocked off they should set up a 1/4 mile drag strip and charge a fee and have street races, protest and make some cash all at once.

you're wrong Rich. Jesus was and is the greatest human being (who was both fully human and fully God) who ever lived his hard work saved a few people from the hot place down under (not Austrailia). he promises a much better life, even better than living in Waterloo.

happy tuesday

My problem with the protest is this:

The native's gripe is with the developers, and possibly the federal govt. Occupying roads, disrupting life for a town, and (apparently) burning bridges(?) is not addressing this issue, its only an attention grab. I would fully endorse this protest if they had occupied the disputed land, or brought their protest to ottawa (occupy the hill), but blockading roads is unacceptable. It should not have been allowed, although I'm not surprised that the OPP is shying away from it, it should have been stopped before it even got started.
If the complaints are about the land being developed, occupy that, not the road.

...and I'm not sure how I feel about this 'taking it to the UN' thing, either... :S
