BSC pics

Some pics of what we've been up to this summer.

Belly pan on my fc

My fuel cell.
OS Giken twin plate and lightweight flywheel(my car as well)

Kei office coil over's on my car

Customer's 10th ae

Car only has 30k on it. Don't ask, he won't sell it.
Not an rx7 but a cool sticker non the less

This is an s5 jspec t2 with a hybrid turbo and MSI V3(Mega squirt ecu) in an 83'
This car is by far the most fun rx7 I've ever driven! Makes me want to get started on my fb.

The oil cooler fits nicely to the bottom of the rad

It's been a good summer, these are just a few of our customer's cars. (and the shop car of course) Hope you all enjoyed the season, don't forget to get as much as you can done over the winter and avoid the spring rush!

Brent

The only issue we had was the ecu the customer bought ended up having a bad transistor and wouldn't fire the coils. Once we got it repaired it fired up right away on a base map off the ms forum. The tuning went really well, the customer actually just came back from a trip to Montreal with no problems. He loves it, and it gets better mileage than the old 12a. So far I'm really pleased with the ms, I'm installing one in my car soon. A Zeal eng. plug'n'play unit to replace the rtek 2.0 I'm currently running.

Brent is the man indeed.

I think I got the honour of being the first one to be told in person that 10th AE isn't for sale

^ Thanks Faris, yeah, I'm pretty sure you were the first. Not the last though, that's why the pics this time were accompanied by not for sale. Had a lot of people asking to buy it at the shop and online. Can't say I blame them, I'd probably trade my car for it if I could.

I have no idea where to get the sticker, I'll ask Chris the next time I see him.

There's more then one would assume though. I helped put together at least 6 in the past few years, there's one in London now that basically runs, and just last night in my driveway the Megasquirt wiring on another was started.

But yes, they are cool.

I also did a blow through set up on a first gen, and wired in an fc na harness, ecu and eng. Looks like I'll most likely be doing quite a few turbo fb's. The yellow one has generated a lot of interest(and envy, lol) in a few of my na fb customers. Even did some non rotary stuff, beleive it or not. Funny how the minute your build rotaries and work on them everyone assumes thats all you do.

Not rotary but cool still, ca18na block with stage 2 hks cams and a gt28

I'm confused, none of them run?
Your def right in any case, there's more around than one would think. I've got another customer with one that he installed, s5 t2 running s4 electronics. Nice car. Also met a guy at motm and went by his shop, he's running an s5 t2 with a haltech I think.(not sure on the ecu)

Im working on a TII swap right now into my 85' GSL. Its an S4 Low milage rebuild. Going to be running a Haltech and a smallish front mount (with water/meth).

Should be turbo kool and running in about a month or so (just waiting for the ECU via snail mail).

I think there's only one in London right now that actually runs. The others that I helped with are doing fine as far as I know, but none of them are in London.

Looks like the 2nd London turbo 1st gen has just had the bar raised. The conversation on Tuesday night went from stock ports and TII turbo to bridgeports and a big T4.

Megasquirt wiring is all but done, to be finished this Saturday.

Sweet, looks like my Zeal pnp is in. I'll be picking it up tomorrow. Not sure when I'll get to play with it though. The ms seems to be a good system so far.
I love how everything starts small, and ends big.

What's up buddy?

Hey guys, I am the guy with the "Banana Car," as Brent calls it, and I am smile from ear to ear. The car is awsome, very fun to drive, and it was all made possible because of BSC Motorsports. Brent, and Tedd are great guys, and they know their stuff. I highly recommend that anyone needing work done gives them a call.

Thanks again guys!!!

Here's some recent pics, this motor was "rebuilt" 2500kms ago. This is what it looked like when I tore it down. It had 3 broken seals and the cermet(JHB) housings were badly flaked.

Also the apex seals only lost the tips, the flaked housings had nothing to do with the seals.

resurfaced irons

Some exh porting, not finished but you get the idea

The car came with the piping, it's a kit that's not meant to be used with pwr steering, I'll most likely be redoing it for the customer at a later date.

Here's a few shots of another nice ae that I worked on this weekend.

I'll post a few more later, gotta go.

^Thanks.

Oh, I'm sure. It's not the firs time either. I know a few other's that have had the same problem. You will never see a stock housing flake like that. I've torn down engines with chunks of apex seals embedded in the rotor and or housing on stock ones and still no flaking like this.
This is why I'll keep sticking to stock housings, if you ask me for the extra $400 I'd buy a new set of housings any day of the week.

Wow that JHB housing is disturbing. I know that engine and that car and I also know the history of it. I'm definatly not surprised that it blew, but the JHB housing is terrible. Makes me sad in a way.

By the way, that engine was completely rebuilt and everything was within spec when I put it together. Just goes to show you what happens when someone un-knowlegable finishes a project and then sells it to someone who knows nothing about rotary engines....

Yep.

That's my buddy's. I sent him to Brent, it really was a shame to see what happened especially for the price he paid for the car. But oh well, you live, you learn, you hit 15psi, and then all of the bad turns into a big grin.

I hear ya Joe. The JHB scares the crap out of me. I'll never use them. They were running 15+psi on an rtek 1.7 with 550/720cc injectors. I can't beleive the engine came in running, and it had 2 broken apex seals on the front rotor and 1 on the back.
BTW, don't you resurface the irons anymore?

And yeah, (sorry if your reading this Brian) he paid far too much for the car.
