Blood Boiling Photos

Seeing as we have about 9 million RX7's coming out to the May 13th Sigma Day, I found some shots that I absolutely love with my RX7 racing. The first couple are going throught Turn 9 at Mosport with the inside front off the ground. I love that angle.

The next 2 are shots in Turn 10. I really love the one where I am carrying a slide out to the edge, countersteering and spinning the back tires in 3rd gear. Who says 13b's have no torks, LOL.

Lets see if we can get a few more RX7's actually racing hard. There is nothing like it.

And a great shot of the first race with the RPM Engines 4 Port 1/2 Bridge. It was a pretty quick day.

Cool pictures. Just found out that my right lateral link is probable worn out as I can push the whole rear end back and forth into the wheel well. Doubtful I can get one installed and a wheel alignment in time. Those lateral links are $$$. Probable should do both at the same time. $400 easy on parts alone!.

See you sunday regardless..

Here are 3 more great shots. The first one is from the NASCAR Canada Weekend. I was running the new Mazda Reman and the car was quick. I had a long battle with the turbo charged Supra trying to get by. I cooked the tires and had to ease off for a couple of laps to get them to cool down, then passed the Supra on the last lap. Finished 4th overall and 3rd in Super Touring. My personal favourite race as I had to think a ton as well as go fast.

The next shot is one of those rare occasions that I was running ahead of Al. It was one of the first weekends out with his new car and he had a ton of power on me, but was a newbie racer. The last shot was of his race start. He must have been pooping himself surrounded by Trans Am cars......

I have about 15 hours of in car from the RX7 on Hi8mm tape. I have about the same amount from the Suzuki on VHS Tape. I just need to find an "Easy Button" to convert them to dvd so I can edit and post them.

I also have about 4 hours from the Cougar on a Canon mini disc that won't play anywhere but in the camera, grrrrrrr I hate AV Technology.

Anybody have a clue as to what I can do?

Eric

23racer/01racing or anyone.
Sorry to hijack this thread. Need to get a camber/toe alingment done for the sigma event.

Any ideas on settings and place to get it done. I was just going to swing by Ajax mazda. Can Alignment will not have time to do my car before hand.
Car has camber kit in the front and camber bar in the back that ties in the rear subframe. Was going to buy the front adjustable sway bar endlink and the mazdatriks adjustable rear camber links but no budget! May not even be required...

Ian, I have some decent settings for you, but they are for track only. They may be too aggressive for the street. If you want something done really quick, contact the guys at Can Saf. They are in North Oshawa and should be able to set up your car for you or send you to a place local to you. I do my own alignments for my car. It is pretty simple and takes a few tools. There are tons of sites that show you how to do home alignments. I actually use my trailer as a flat base to set the car up off of.

As to settings, I run about 4 degrees negative on the front and 1/8" of toe out. I also get as much caster as I can. For the rear, I run about 2.5 degrees negative and zero toe.

Time for a GoPro or if the budget allows for a RaceKeeper system..
Here is a look at the racekeeper system. (our data is not on there but you get an idea) there better quality but that's just what we uploaded it to.

Those toe settings sound reasonable for street use. The camber is borderline but because of the minimal toe it's probably OK.

in my GTR I'm running 3.5* front and 2.5* rear (zero toe rear, 1mm front) and the only thing that destroys my tires is horsepower.
