You guys are all wrong. The best shop period is my backyard. With only two small tool boxes of tools, a space saver jack, a schedule that keeps me away from home for nearly 2 weeks at a time, and an interest in only working on my own car as much as possible, I gaurantee you will get what you pay for. That gaurantee comes with a punch in the face and a blown engine if you are unhappy with my services. Chances are, the engine will blow even if you are happy.
I've never heard of Streetpower, but I've seen the work of Mazdees, and I won't say they are the best, because I have only bought parts from them, but they seem to know what they are doing, even if Dave is an old curmudgeon.

Anyway, I just wanted to add... The 340 rwhp figure isn't all that hard to believe. I was pretty surprised when I tuned this near stock car. The only thing the car had was a full 3" exhaust with a big catback, HKS intakes, and an RE-Amemiya intercooler. The motor is still the original stock motor with ~76,000 km on it. Initially the car wanted to boost to 16 PSi and was backfiring like crazy under WOT because of a weak leading coil which was then replaced and fixed. It also had some exhaust leaks pre-turbo. Anyway, that was all fixed after Dave spotted it and the wastegate was ported to try to keep the boost creep down as well as bleed off some of the wastegate lines to bring the boost down. It needs a boost controller to fully eliminate it and bring the low-end boost up but its in safe levels now at least.
Cutting this all short, the car made 300 rwhp stock with just exhaust, intake, and intercooler at just under 14 PSi. It could have made more power with a more aggressive tune but thats no good. This was on a Mustang dyno so on another dyno, it would probably make a little more power. Also, if you didn't care about turbo life, you could take the boost up further (with bigger injectors) and make even more. Anyway, I don't know what the conditions of the 340 rwhp are but it isn't totally out of the realm of possibility.
Also, something that I think really helped was that fact that this motor pulled 18 inches of vacuum at idle. The compression on this motor is really really good. I think its because its still the stock original motor and its been well taken care of.

People work their way up to the above changes. With an EMS system you are talking about 3k worth of parts alone. Add labour to that and you've got more significant expenditure. Add to that fuel system costs to get to high horsepower numbers as well as boost control costs. (We don't all have your commitment to investment in our FDs)
And even with the above parts you mention I still don't think you could get to 340rwhp. Maybe if you are running some ungodly amount of boost through the twins you may get lucky. But how long will you be lucky at high boost levels with the stock twins?
And anybody that recommends running their car in the above fashion is a tool.

What I have considered stock up to now has been anything with stock turbos. stock injectors, stock ignition, stock ports and anything else wouldn't matter since all your doing is removing airflow restriction. But your right, that is already far from stock specs and is some work/money to begin wtih. I have been told my commitment is unique hehe.

It's not 340 rwhp but I'm sure with a leaner AFR and more aggressive timing, would bring it close.
Then again, you could upgrade the injectors and run ungodly boost like you mentioned. If your tracking the car, thats like the worst thing you could do on stock twins. However, if you just do the occasional pull on the weekend, they might last longer then you'd expect them too. Of course I wouldn't recommend anyone run more then 12-13 PSi on stock twins for reliability of the turbo's (its not like the motor can't take it).
Anyway, thats my input on the numbers. I don't know what the poster actually ment by stock FD hehe.

I likely know every owner of every "rotary" shop in Ontario and am comfortable doing business of some fashion with each of them. And finally just because a shop is rotary only doesn't mean they're reputable
