Autocross Nov. 13, Chatham

there's a WOSCA autox nov. 13 in chatham at st. clair cottage - I had the link but I lost it!

Anyone from here interested in going?
I don't think that any LOUD cars are invited - 55dba limit for this event (at the property line) as it's the first one - I'd imagine though that any exhausts that don't get you pulled over would probably be OK - my FB is stock and quiet so I'm not worried about this

I won't be there (going to see the Bodyworks exhibit), but I will be at the Nov. 6th event this week.

I don't know how far away the property line is, but that sounds quiet low. The interior noise of a stock 2006 Mazda Miata at full throttle is 82dBA. (In other words about 3X louder)

yeah, it's probably 75, now that I think about it - 55 sounded really low to me.

I asked about the sound level last night, that 55db was from the Fanshawe event, and corresponded with some London bylaw.

As far as we know there is no official sound level for this event. It is a trial run event, with there being a possibility of more events next year if everyone is on their best behavior.

Well it wasn't that noisy there except for the sqealing tires of 2 cars, a Bimmer and a 300.

The quietest cars were the fastest: Miatas and a WRX.

But then again, there were no 7s except 1. Mine. I don't have a 1st gear when she's warm and I'm not an early riser anyways so I just watched...

I thought it was just front u-joint but I looked at the drive shaft yesterday and it was solid. On the way back from the event I tried taking off from second and she was nice and smooth. I figure maybe I'll have to swap out trannies this winter...
