Id like to come by again, but D&B is a bit far for us westoners every week. If we had something a bit more this way it would be better for other people then just T.O.
Plus there was no damn timmies any where near that lot, i need my timmies!!! LOL

Ahhh come on guys......"it's too far" LOL
I took the 2 hour drive last week...only to find a poor turnout, still a good time though.
I'll be there for this weeks....probably late because of work.

well, I think D&B is a good central location and Timmies is a minute drive away.
If rotoryrocket can drive 2 hours to the meet, you ppl with a 45 minute drive have nothing to complain about. IMO It's nice to drive at night anyways with no traffic.
We can always talk about alternating the locations every week but you guys gotta come to the meets and participate first.

I have participated in the meets (and many others over the years) I was there with my BB fd the other week. All Im saying is that the hershey center or something of that location is a tad closer for others. Before you jump to conclutions im not saying i dont mind driving, but a location where EVERYONE has to drive somewhat (which makes it central) is more feasable. Our drive may be 55-60 min, how long was yours?

It's a 25 minute drive for me. I understand your point, but it's hard to accomodate everyone. We can make it closer to mississauga but some might complain on the eastside. What do you suggest we do?
we can alternate the weekly meets into 4 different locations to accomodate everyone. ie. 1 in east end(AJAX),1 in west end(mississauga),1 up north(newmarket) and keep 1 at D&B

I kinda like the idea of alternating the meeting spots. This way it gives a chance for others to come out that may not want to at other times. And if you like driving you can go to all of them and enjoy different scenery (which i will try to do except when im on nights and afternoonm shifts lol). We ahve to keep in mind the areas that people come from, we have Niagara, Hamilton, Kitchener, Mississauga, north york, T.O etc and so on.....Im up for anything, just want to keep it exciting.
May I also sugest aside from the Thursday meet, that we gather everyone up on a Sunday to come down to Hamilton beach. over time tuners started gathering up on sundays down at hamilton beach and has now evolved into quite the show and shine, 7's, Supras, NSX and what ever else decides to come. Ill take it up with the RX club and see what we can do.

I am only organizing the mini-meets during the week(Thursday nights).
4 meets each month.
1 meet at D&B(400&7)
1 meet at the Docks(Downtown T.O.)
1 meet at the mini indy(Dixon&401)
1 meet somewhere east(markam any suggestions?)
I suggest that we keep it a GTA mini meet and not go to far out of the city. This way we can maximize the attendence.
What do you all think?

Hey Bitch!
I'll call you to see if we could drive up for this meet. What shift are you on?

I will try to show up this week.
I have a baseball game on thursday so we'll see.
Sometimes the team goes out for beers after the game, and if so, I wont be able to make it.
As for the location, I think since we have people who come from all directions, the GTA is a central location for everyone.
If you start holding meets in Oshawa or Hamilton, then people who live in the east wont come to the west and vice-versa.
I think the key is to make it worthwhile for the people with long drives to attend.
That means, guarenteed attendance by lots of people.
I can see how frustrating it must be for someone to drive 2 hours to a meet only to find 4 cars there...
Perhaps we need to add some event to these meets?
Like go-karting.
Or if we do in fact meet at the docks, there will be some ladies.
Or mini-golf.
Or whatever, you get the idea.
Something to make people want to drive to these meets.
If we can incorporate some other car clubs, maybe the sense of pride will incourage people. The rotary crew representing in the face of the s2000 and sti clubs. I dunno.
Anyways, have a good one

The first Thursday of the month will be the big meet at D&B(THE NORTH MEET). I will be contacting the s2000 club and the 350z-300zx to see if they can come too.
The second Thursday will be at Formula karts in Brampton(THE WEST MEET)
The third Thursday will be at ???????????? (THE EAST MEET)
The Fourth Thursday will be at the Docks night club(DOWNTOWN T.O.)
Any suggestions on where the East meet should be? somewhere fun ofcourse!

The third Thursday meet could be held at Kennedy Commons (kennedy & 401 timmies). The DSM and Honda clubs hold their meet there without hassle. This location is convenient for people from the Ajax/Oshawa, Markham, and just about all other points. Just a suggestion.
