Yeah that sucks. Mine broke off in the bracket on the pump too. If you don't have cats, you don't need the air pump.

will you still pass emmissions without the air pump?

Your cat will eventually plug up and you'll get beat by Kias regularly.

You have a 1990 FC.
If you are non-turbo, your aux port and VDI won't work and car will become EXTREMELY slow and run like manure. ACV might get caked with carbon. Cat will get burnt out and develop a nasty smell. Won't pass emissions.

If you have a turbo, you can strip the airpump/acv, vac lines out. But you won't pass emissions either.

With the bolts broken, you can an "easyout" or drill the bolts out. Then re tap the treads.

Good luck,
Derek.
