Hey guys... just so ya know... Scarb Mazda is going to be doing demo's of their road force (tire balancing) and alignment systems at this event as well. They'll be randomly pulling car's from the folks that show up and doing the demo on them.. which could mean you might be getting an alignment or balancing for free

Well looks like I might not be making it after all I had a bit of geography mixed up, i thought scarborough is where oakville is (which would be alot closer to the track, but since its not I won't be making it in the morning. Will there be people meeting up in the afternoon say 8ish?

That's cool, I wouldn't mind seeing a road force balancer at work. Maybe I can talk my shop into getting one. What kind of an alignment machine do you guys have?

well the radio info was set i did not get a reply il see if i can call them today at lunch time... as for my mega squirt project fb... looks like i might not make it this year
i we ran in to 6 hours of problems yesterday and my day off was kind of shoot. dj55b and my self stopped working on the car at 3am. with the dash, and 80% of the MS wiring left to install and only a base map provided by Aaron cakes and no turning done at this point in time.. things are looking bad. as dj55b was saying it would suck to push so hard to make this event that we end up messing something up... im so sad i have been waiting for a long time for an event like this... o well

Just a short note to tell everyone how much we appreciate your support. All of our suppliers, Mazda Canada and Mazdaspeed for genuine parts, BFGoodrich/Michelin for tires and Keystone for all aftermarket performance parts (Hawk, Eibach,Autometer, Redline Oil etc) have all given us the ability to sell at or below our normal dealer cost (not retail lol) for this day. Mazda USA supplied us with some amazing cars and tickets etc for the ALMS race the following weekend. We have an amazing community with all the Mazda owners and this is our chance to show our appreciation to all of you.

Progress Report

Hi Guys - I just got my RX-7 back on the road tonight after being in storage for over 5 years. I am going to make a test drive to work tomorrow in Port Dover (actually today based on the time).

That will leave me Saturday night to fix any little surprises and a some last minute maintenance before 7 Stock North on Sunday. If all goes well, I may even have enough time for a quick wash & shine.

My 29 year old rotary engine still runs great, but I had forgotten how rough the steering and suspension is compared to my S2000. One issue that I did notice was no power to the antenna, radio or horn. I'm hoping that it is just a fuse.

Hopefully it is a fuse, but you may wanna check that out first. I don't know about the 1st gen, but on my 2nd gen when the radio goes (one specific fuse on a poorly wired harness adapter that I have long since fixed) out the tail lights often do too...

Well I made the drive to Port Dover this morning. The car feels sluggish, stiff suspension, sloppy steering and smells like its running very rich.

Gee ... I forgot how much I enjoyed driving this car.

Its pouring rain today - so I guess that has helped clean off some of the dust and dirt from the past five years.

Not sure if I am ready to hit the 400 series highways. I will probably look for an alternate route to Scarberia on Sunday.
