You don't need a flywheel stopper, Use a chain and put a bolt on the rear iron and one of the flywheel bolts. been doing this for years.

You mean a piece of angle iron with two holes drilled to match the clutch bolt holes?

Or the chain thing already mentioned?

Angle iron, pry bars and chains can all work as flywheel locks.

If your impact does not have enuf oomph to remove the BigF'n' Nut, try a 6-8' thick wall tube extension on a heavy breaker bar, hasn't failed me yet.

I have had a few blocks where it took a torch to heat up the main bolt to get it off. I mean a real torch, not a pluming mini torch.

I did the same. Works well. In fact i have the piece of iron which you can use if you want. I also used a 3/4" breaker bar with a piece of pipe on the end to break the nut loose.

I use an old ring gear section and weld it to a dowel pin that' been cut in half(2 pieces) bolt the pin pieces to the block first, then.., lay the ring gear piece across the bolted dowel pins and into the flywheels ring gear teeth , then weld it on both pins,if you want you can flip it over and lay a extra piece of ring gear on the other side of the dowel pin pieces and place that on a non turbo engine as well and make it work on that flywheel too ... ps I have also used all the other methods as well, and yes heat the front bolt or back nut if they are hard to remove...

all is well, it wasnt the flywheel bolt that was giving me a hard time, the front eshaft bolt was stubborn as hell. But in the end, a lot of heat from our MAP torch burnt off the damn loctite and she came off....no i can continue with my build
