10 Cars that surprised the Editors of Car & Driver

So in the current January 2011 issue of CD, John Phillips' column discusses ten cars that most surprised the staff of CD over the years, good & bad. The 10th mention is the 1985 GSL-SE (and its a good endorsement). Its filled with poetry that would bring any rotorhead to tears as the final line attests:

"... on a cool night when the world oppresses the spirit, this Rx7 revives the soul."

Still brings chills to me when I read that line.

OF COURSE, you have an '85 lol

link to the full article? My friends father is a big car connoisseur, and has given me a few magazines, mainly to do with FB's. One with the GTU. I'm always happy to find RX7 articles

Seeing that the magazine is no longer on the stands I think it's safe to post it!

Glad everyone enjoyed it.

That's awesome. Real nice GSL-SE, those and the 86 FC that came out when I was in grade 12 were cars I lusted after in high school.

CorgiSteve, that is a beautiful and tastefully modified GSL-SE. Any engine mods?
