Well my buyer fell through so we are continuing on re-doing the #01 car for the 2013 season. The Liberty Competition 5spd is about 10 days away, we are replacing the fuel cell bladder, we will be making a proper carbon fibre (yes real carbon fibre)aero dynamic wing and a carbon fibre hood for it. We already have the carbon fibre dash made (weighs 4 pounds). We also are going to build an electric power steering pump for it. The car is still for sale, but the price will change as we spend money and continue to build it.

 

how are you doing the electric PS setup?

I need one of these for my GTR. Either that, or I need to spend all winter doing push ups.

The engineering team is working on the electric power steering at this time. I think we are going to mount a high pressure pump and a reservior. This doesnt have to be rocket science just need to add a little assist. The transmission will be awesome, 5spds arent rocket science either and Liberty has been doing this set up for a long time. We dont intend not to use the clutch when shifting, it is still easier on components with the assist of the clutch when upshifting and downshifting.
Like I said before, the car is still for sale and its on Ebay, it would cost someone at least 30K in parts to duplicate this car.
