Due to circumstances beyond our control the June 12th, 2005 RX Club Meet and Dyno Day will now be taking place at:
SPLITFIRE PERFOMANCE
220 Rutherford Rd. South
Unit #2
Brampton, ON
L6W 3J6
www.splitfireperformance.com
The orginal location, Autobahn Speed Tuning, has suffered a setback in that there 2 month old 'Mustang Dynometer' is broken. A combination of errors by Mustang Dynometer and UPS has resulted in the machine not being fixed in time for our Dyno Day. Enzo and Mark of Autobahn apologize for any inconvenience and have promised to make it up to the club in the future.
Thanks to a very resourceful and persuasive RX Club Committee we were able to secure the services of Splitfire Performance at ridiculously short notice. Paul Bhawan of Splitfire should be thanked by all members for stepping upto the plate and honouring our deal with Autobahn. If you don't already know Paul owns Canada's fastest import, a turbo charged Honda civic that blazes through the 1/4 mile in 8.66 sec @ 166 mph. We have to respect this piston head for giving our rotaries a chance to shine in his shop.
We apologize for any inconvenience that the location change may cause. We look forward to seeing you all on Sunday.

A Mustang Dyno will generally read lower due to the applied eddy current brake load used to simulate the "actual" load (combined aerodynamic plus rolling frictional load) that the vehicle would experience when in motion.
That being said, a dyno can be made to 'read' whatever the operator wants it to, ie a lot depends on calibration.

Just wanted to say thanks Charn for putting this on, and everyone who came out and waited for my lazy *** to get there.
- Sorry Amur about no reply, went out to casino last night, woke up probably after all y'all finished!
- Neo - i'm gonna see that mysterious single turbo FD one of these days.. maybe when its 22C, unlimited ceiling with 0 humidity and a tail wind eh?...
And for the #'s - 216 hp 178 Tq mods = K&N Drop-in, Downpipe, clogged main cat, Ractive muffler, 4 bad plugs and bad TPS

Our thanks to all who took the time to attend! This was an outstanding debut event for our new rotary club!
It is credit to everyone that things ran so smoothly throughout the day. The shop's owner, Paul, who was running the dyno, had no complaints about either the runs or the attendees. The only difficulty was trying to pick up a decent spark for the dyno. Especially with the FCs, where Paul had to puzzle through picking out which wire among some people's "custom" work was the one he wanted.
An extra special thank you to Charn on behalf of the Club committee for pulling this important Club event out of the fire after our original location was forced to cancel so close to the event date. Outstanding work!
The Club will be announcing its upcoming events shortly. Stay tuned!

That was awesome! And now I finally have some hp #s to go with my mileage #s.
Thanks to Lawyer's Spirit for making all of this happen. Without your determination and quick thinking, we'd have all spent the day at Neo's watching 100 Huntley Street.
Somebody owes me a SHIRT!

Thanks for the kind words but it was really a collective effort by the RX Club of Ontario Committee. It was really great to feel like we actually have a functioning club,it has been long over due. Thanks to everyone that came out, your presence drives the committee to continue creating events and putting time into the club.
Also a big thanks to Paul @ Splitfire for taking really good care of us all day.
I can post eveyone's Dyno numbers if there are no objections.
