*****Ottawa Meet 2005*****
It's almost time for the annual Ottawa Mazda Meet!! Details will be ironed out in this thread. Note that we are returning to the Corel Centre this year. This meet is open to all Mazda cars

WHEN: **MAY 21-22 Long Weekend**
MAY 21st: The meet starts with a show and shine in the Corel Center parking lot on May 21st at 2pm. This is a good time to show off your car and snap some pictures. Afterwards, everyone is invited to Ricardo's shop (5mins from Corel) for BBQ and drinks.
MAY 22nd: Everyone is invited to the Cumberland/Masson ferry at 9am for a huge cruise in Quebec through some of the nicest roads you'll ever see. We'll be doing a similar route to last year, so it's not for the faint of heart (or weak stomachs)... this is THE highlight of the weekend.
As usual, directions to all the spots will be provided at the Corel Centre.
Hope to see everyone there!!!

I booked the whole week off already. Can't wait. I guess I'll be the first to start a meeting point for people out West.
KITCHENER SPORTSWORLD PARKING LOT - DEPARTING AT 7AM
From 401 east - exit hwy 8 North to Kitchener
Exit sportsworld Dr
Turn right
Sportsworld is on righthand side (look for big dome or Outback steakhouse)
From 401 west - exit king street North
Go north until you see Boston Pizza on right hand side (approx 2-3km)
Turn right at Sportsworld Dr.
Sportsworld is on lefthand side (look for big dome or Outback steakhouse)

From Montréal, we usually leave from the Colisée Kirkland theater parking lot. It takes 2 hours to get to Corel center and we usually take an hour or so for lunch, so we leave around 11am (usually 11:15 because someone always ends up late)

If the KW guys want to stop off in Milton on the way, I'll join you at the Tim Horton's/Wendy's Just south of the 401 at Highway 25.
BTW... Coffee and Donuts are on me... (I manage the Tims)

You guys have me seriously considering ditiching my mosport trip and going to Ottawa as usual. Except this year sticking around for the tour.
Anyone who has not been on this event. The best part is the drive up! With some heavily boosted cars and all the other hicups that occur. Hmmm to run R comps or not to run ro comps.

I haven't gotten confirmation on getting that weekend off yet, but I've been waiting a year for this (cause I missed the last one) and I'm going to pull every string to get there, and i'll be pulling those strings hard
So far there are 10 Mx-3'ers that I know of that are interested, alot of us are getting work done to our cars, including me (but my expected worse-case car senario is that I won't have my car painted and the body kit installed, but the performance/maintenance mods will be done mid-April), so it's pretty much pending on that, and there's still alot of time left.
