I have ID injectors with the black cushions currently and they always looked moist near the cusions... I've talked to ID about it and they swear the fuel pressure should be great enough so the boost won't push the injector up but I have my doubts... (there is a lot more surface area on the bottom of the injector than the top)
the o-rings are because each black cushion gets replaced with 2 small o-rings before you put it in the adapter.

Interesting. I don't have boost so that's one less thing to worry about. Still, I would rather play it extra safe if its all of $50.

Oh wow. they are twice the price compared to Drop Engineering. I took my hubs off today and the DTSS DID NOT TEAR APART!!!! They are in tact and I will use them for this Pocono track day at the end of the month. The DTSS on my 5 lug set of hubs I received for free tore apart. I was impressed mine stayed together being just as old. This winter I plan on replacing most if not all bushings in the rear end. and dropping an NA LSD in there.
Hubs came off easily. I will replace the trailing arm bushings....eventually.

Looks like I have to buy DTSS eliminators now...This is the last time I trust someone working on my car. He forgot to take the snap ring out while removing the second bearing...I'll be getting a harbor freight 6 ton press tomorrow and racing beat DTSS eliminators are on the way...

Between my dad and I, I dont see us using it much at all. I'll let him know since he will be the one picking it up tomorrow.
I'm so frustrated because I was looking forward to keeping the DTSS for a little while longer and see how it really handled with low profile tires. I feel the 14 inch rims had flexed a **** ton so I never got to feel how it truely handled.

Many months later...and the 5 lug swap is finally on! I may need to quickly find a T2 MC/booster because the braking is rather weak right now. That brake bleed bucket didnt work since the attachment was too large for our reservoir.

it's probably going to be easier for you to find a 929 booster and BMC and a brake banjo T fitting (or a double long banjo with 2 fittings). (the s5 T2 doesn't have a banjo, just 2 flare ports, so you'd have to split it after the MC if that makes sense...)

I made a quick little fan shroud last night out of galvanized steel and now it actually cools well enough to close the thermostat at idle. Previously it would slowly creep up over the course of a few minutes. Im curious if the rad will be restricted while on the track. I've seen fan shroud that have little flaps. I would really like to incorporate something like that.

installed SS brake lines, needs rebled as we let the reservoir run dry...oops

Thats exactly where I got the idea for the Vmount . The hardest part was designing a system that wasnt super complicated, and required no welding. I used all pre-existing holes. Everything could go back to stock if I wanted.
I did see your post earlier with the extra holes. I dont think I could cut up my bumper like that...I do want to get some really good ducting and maybe reposition the oil cooler (coolers soon). Again I need something that isnt a pain to remove and replace though.

Took the car to the track tonight. Didnt do as well as I thought, but I did make a lot of progress on the tune. AFRs were low 9s causing misfire at high RPMs. times went from 15.x and 88mph up to a best of 14.3 and @101mph. AFRs came down to 10.5-11.5. Gauge said roughly 10psi, but the megasquirt reported 7-9psi. slightly tapering at 7000 RPM. I want to add the manual boost controller after this trackday on the 31st....I'd rather be a bit slower and keep temps down.

Found a timing map translated for megasquirt from the PFC for S5 T2 cars (I have s5 irons and FD rotors so essentially its the same). I may need to do a bit of maths since I am running S4 housings and the spark plug holes are slightly different.
I am going to translate the map over as KPA values (what megasquirt shows).

I hooked up the EFI Analytics bluetooth to RS232 adapter tonight....works freakin GREAT with MsDroid! I am able to tune on my tablet or phone while in the car. It is a lot more user friendly while tuning alone since I can slide my finger and select multiple cells. I'll try and take a video tomorrow to give you guys an idea. MSDroid is the first android app you can tune with for megasquirt, not just datalog!
On a bad note I think my heater core is leaking...I have water in the cabin and I'm not sure where its coming from. Definitely have a leak somewhere though...
