Finally drivable

Have a quite a few bugs that need worked out yet along with other things, coolant line on the turbo is leaking, idle is all over the place, etc... and need to wire up the fan and make an intake.

But it runs and drives, its damn loud too lol.

couple pics outside of its natural habitat of being on jackstands...

^Thanks. That fan that was on that radiator moves some air. I have a 3000cfm fan I was going to run, but that fan you had seems to do more than that.

Just got back from driving it around the block, it pulls very good for being at 7psi.

Motor was rebuilt a few years ago by a member on here, this engine was in the first RX-7 I had in 2008. Compression is 97/96 so its still going strong.

To pull off this wing it needs some aero to go with it!

What are your plans for the body?

Personally, Ide suggest a rear diffuser, looks amazing with the single exhaust and helps wit the overall agressive looking of the wing.

Also, Front Lip (As you Said) , T2 Sideskirts, RE-A Mirrors, and And dont u have one of those awesome hoods laying around? haha

This car will be amazing looking! I have always loved your several build threads now!

Good Luck Bro!

No Aero, Just fender flares and wide wheels!

^Thats right!

Thanks for the comments.

Plans for the the body are widebody, but still keeping the stock s4 front. I already have amemiya cone mirrors, but they're so tiny and are useless as a mirror, the stock s4 TII mirrors look good imo and are more functional. Also have a new panspeed hood sitting around, that will go on this once I set up a VMIC.

Rear diffuser will come eventually.

I do agree with that. In person the wing looks good on a stock-bodied car, especially being the car sits low.

But I don't want to do full aero right now, want to do something different. I think the stock s4 trim/bumpers will look very nice with widebody, the panspeed hood, wing, and a set of nice wheels.

Here's a pic of Circuit Theory's car. This car has been a great inspiration for me, part of the reason I bought that R-Magic wing.

Nate - I wasnt talking like full on kit. The t2 side skirts are very sutble. and small. Just adds enough.

I cant wait to see this done. I love this build. Especially because this is what I wanted to do to me FC, Which i just sold. Seriously +1 I love everything about it.

Keep up the great work man! I honestly cant wait to see it finished. But RX7s are never finished.

Thanks a lot man.

Yeah this car will always be evolving even after I get the initial stuff done that I want to do. After that it will be time for some more serious HP, of coarse with a rotary

Adjusted the tps, and played with the idle. Got it idling steady now, but its a modded throttle body and no bac, so the only way it will hold and return to a steady idle is if its set at ~1200. Need to get a working bac valve on there soon.

Brand new in box oem flash to pass lenses.

Nice. When do you plan to bring it to some meets?

There are 4-5 black fc's in the area that attend the meets.

We can dominate!

Once I get it registered and insured. I don't like the idea of parking it outside at night down there, or driving it with all the stupid chicago ***** on the roads. But I'll try and bring it to a couple meets.

Wired up the rev limitter, found a writeup on this site for it luckily, as the instructions are in Japanese from Bee*R. **** is awesome and very loud, its cool to flat foot shift or whatever you call it, sounds like a rally car between shifts. Still working on setting the controller up for launch control yet, had to stop for a bit because I'm sure the neighbors love a gunshot sounds driving around.
